That article is extremely misleading, it's only referring to Spotify royalties. That vast majority of royalty earnings from this song will be from publishing, which will be millions.

Don't get me wrong, I have a little bit of a chuckle when Scotland or Wales get knocked out but I can't imagine being this invested in their results. It's fucking brilliant 😂

It's fucking brilliant 😂 Was going to say, imagine being that invested in something. I know we're not well liked and I get it, but that's another level.

Was going to say, imagine being that invested in something. I know we're not well liked and I get it, but that's another level. The anti-English sentiment amongst some in Ireland is pathological. From the way some people go on about 'the English' you'd think Cromwell had been round and ransacked the place last week, not 400 years ago. It's what happens when so much of the identity of a place is wrapped up in an 'origin' story in which subtlety is generally overlooked in favour of self-aggrandising myth-making. It's an order of magnitude above the (equally illogical) anti-German sentiment of some in England whose parents weren't even born when WW2 ended, and it's got a far nastier undercurrent than the majority of English-Scottish/English-Welsh antagonism. And they still want to support our football clubs then bore us with how much they hate our national team.
