How is Josh Ireland progressing? He was highly rated but heard very little buzz about him since it was confirmed he was still with the club.

Yeah, looks like it. Another that Man City seem to have snapped up from Derby.

Wonder if Turkey have national service still? That used to be a bit of a disincentive...

Be very surprised if he didn't get a pro deal as he's a 2nd year now. Dropped off the international scene a little but still a good player

Is Harry Crane still at Stoke? Sentinel mentioned him being involved in England camps as late as June, but thought we’d see him mentioned around the u18s by now. Think he should be an u16. Still at the club? Still highly thought of?

Could be injured who knows

Really poor result which is a shame.
But a really odd side they put out tbh.
Baker, Macari and Okagbue are all centre backs.
Malone and Sparrow are both deeper CM’s good at passing.
Porter and Adebambo are more box to box.
And Jarrett is a number 10.
So that’s 3 centre backs and 5 central midfielders essentially all crammed in the same side.

Dominic Sadi seems to be a new name
Seems to have been playing for Wingate and Finchley Development side in the Hertfordshire Premier League as recently as a fortnight ago. A bit of a climb if it's him

Getting thrashed 4-1
(Blackburn seem a good team though. This'll be their 4th big win in a row to start the season)

Getting thrashed 4-1 (Blackburn seem a good team though. This'll be their 4th big win in a row to start the season) Blackburn have got a good U18 group, made the Youth Cup semi last season. Mixture of that and this current group not being where it should be

Yes and yes. Basically we’ve loaned out 3 out of the 4 of the best back 4, 3/5 of the best back 5 and our 2 best strikers. And all 5 of the midfielders mentioned need to be playing, the plan was for Porter to go out so everyone there will be disappointed it didn’t happen. No idea how they lined up last night tbh but on paper it’s a very unbalanced side.

I’m sure that they’ll try to find a balance, but playing a system that will be infrequently used doesn’t benefit them much you’ve got to imagine? Similarly it’s a shame that Porter’s loan fell through for whatever reason.

Similarly it’s a shame that Porter’s loan fell through for whatever reason. Having DWP back balances it out and Macari can play left back but he ain’t one. So I still think they should be ok but it won’t be like last season. That was a really good side, good players, balanced side etc. Good test for everyone though, can they balance it out?
