What our 3,8,31,in the dreaded 84/85 season? Derby was 1 win 8 draws 29 losses 11 points. 4 of those points came against Newcastle so they got 7 points from 36 matches against everyone else.

Seem to remember they drew at Newcastle also and did a rare thing of scoring twice. They went from Sep to May without a win after the Newcastle game.

Yes mate I’m pretty sure they got 4 points from their first 2 home games with a draw against Portsmouth and a Kenny Miller winner against Newcastle. It was not a happy shopfloor around that time 🤣🤣

Think they were beaten 5 or 6 the week before at Arse or Liverpool then a similar score the following week.

If Clowes hasn’t put 50m in a bank account to prove funds and is borrowing money the EFL needs to be dissolved and Boris Johnson put in charge.

Property developer buys ground No worries there then Heard this a week ago from someone who said it would be announced this week and is as good as done. Sounds a bit like Coates - rich local business man life long fan.

Sounds a bit like Coates - rich local business man life long fan. To be fair mate he only sounds like Coates in as much as he’s a local bloke and a lifelong fan. Wealth wise they’re in a different league altogether. Good luck to him and I’m sure he’ll stabilise them and secure their future but unless he’s got financial backing from elsewhere he doesn’t seem to have the £ clout to get them back to anything like.

Yes I agree, I was responding to someone who was implying that a property developer shouldn't be trusted. I can't say what else I know about the deal at the moment but I can't understand why Derby went with Kirchner in the first place except that his bid was probably higher. I would trust a local business man fan over a foreigner every time. Agree about Morris but I honestly think he had the best intentions when he took over but then started trying to cheat his way into the Premier. At least you know the Coates family stick to the rules.

Aren't we waiting for that brizzle fams letter to reach the EFL before we know that for certain Might be resolution at last for Derby you'd think he might try and do a deal with the other derby fans consortium to give them more financial muscle.

Mel Morris was a life long fan also He was rich also now alot less richer Clowes wealth is estimated at 300 million which is nowhere near what Morris was/is worth.Having bought the ground already and provided an interim loan for the wages it’ll be interesting to see what is offer is that’s gone in today

what could go wrong from here, a property developer has purchased a piece of land currently inhabited by a failing football club who might not have long left as it stands, whatever could a property developer want with such a piece of land!

Him and his late father have been fans all their lives, not a chance that would/will happen.Like Coates he’s a local bloke and a fan but just not as wealthy
