They’ve been allowed to carry on as the admins must of provided proof to EFL et al they could complete the season just ended in terms of fixtures and paying players & staff. That’s been the main difference I think to Bury, Macclesfield etc, those clubs had no money to pay wages so suffered their fate.
If the money has now ran out, then without a pretty quick sorting of the situation they’ve reached the entrance to shit creek and the paddle shop is out of stock!!

was reading this morning that they havent as yet sold any season tickets as they dont want to take further creditors onto the books if it does get liquidated its not looking good for them is it.... anyway back to the studio "Administrators running Derby County are seeking a short-term loan to pay the wages of staff for June. The money would also be used to help put season tickets on sale for 2022-23 and sign players, although they are still subject to a transfer embargo." I think if they are borrowing money then they must be confident of an imminent sale, unless they are out of their minds.

Just put them out of their misery, they should have applied to join the national league, just in case, if they had any foresight

I walk past it regularly from the hotel to work. We also deal with Rolls but on other stuff I can't mention Yeah I have a lot of those "unmentionable" things as well. Luckily, so far I haven't had to do a security-clearance as a scheduler rarely gets into any technical data. Security clearance in the US is a non-royal pain in the arse. To your point Clod. When I left Blighty I was cleared to all our armed forces, the top table of the Royals, All the political parties. Pope. Etc, etc. Over here, 4 presidents, all thru the White House. State, US forces, Senate yada yada yada. You just try and get me into Boeing or Macdonald Douglas though

Does spending a large amount of time there make you completely irrational and lose all ability to think logically. The administrators are there to ensure the best deal for the public purse not ensure a football club that lives it life in an alternate reality to have a good season. Loan money to buy players, it’s the meanderings of morons. Mel isn’t doing anything illegal, he has the money to back the club, it’s not about money. CK has the funds, it’s a bank holiday. It is officially a farce.

MSD lent burnley money they have to pay £50m back this season with another £50m to follow next season if they dont get promotion immediately, they aren't mug lenders.

Don't know how true it is but I've heard an anonymous donor has given Derby enough money to cover all playing expenses including wages for the whole season which means they will be in the fixture list on Thursday and will. start the season even if still in admin. Also there are more interested buyers than the two everyone knows about. Our training ground was bought by the Coates alongside the ground in March.

You get the feeling Derby and the EFL have been making this up as they go along. Any precedents seem to have gone out of the window. Let’s hope something is sorted soon so their fans can have some peace of mind and go back to being the arrogant so and so’s we know and don’t love 🙂

It definitely seems "off script" here. Fortunately for them, people keep coming from "out of the woodwork" showing interest in the club. But good Lord, time is running has run out!

MSD have some sort of mortgage on the training ground that puts them to the front of the queue to get repaid. Thr ground is separate as you say MSD have loans secured against that means Morris has guarenteed to pay them back. My understanding of liquidation (which wont happen) is that everything Derby own gets sold and the money split between creditors, some creditors are secured and get full payment others will get nothing as liquidation probably wouldn't raise the cash to pay back the secured creditors fully.

Nixon was saying today or yesterday, paying the next lot of wages (3 pt penalty if late) at end of this month and then March 2023 was the key date for being out of admin for some reason.

Difference for the other clubs they were insolvent no money coming in to pay the bills, no prospect of someone paying off their debts so the big creditor (hmrc) decide to go for a winding up order so they get something back.
