I must have been lol. Why is it? I may be wrong but I think they've got some scheme there, with testing and stuff which allows them to do that. Others will enlighten you much better than I can mate, I'm just going off something I read on here a few days ago. 👍 |

I can’t see the reason there is no incentive for a team to attack once there in front if goal difference is basically irrelevant Go one in front and shut up shop |

But you avoid the scenario of Team A roundly beating Team B, only for Team B to qualify at Team A's expense because they thrash a desperately poor Team C in the final group game when Team C have given up and are playing their reserves. |

4 out of 6 teams in 3rd position in the groups will go through to the next stage.
Based on:
1)The number of points they have.
2)Best goal difference
3)Most goals scored
4)Most fair play-points
5)Ranking by UEFA
The last, the number 5 is interesting.
To me it should be based on how they've managed at the Euro 2020, but I doubt it.
