Nice bit in the Grauniad today about the best groundskeepers in the world all come from England 🏴
Wont do the whole piece but, interesting, we are ten years ahead of the rest of the world in our grassy preparing skills.
Anyhow, within the bit it was talking about the equipment used by said pros and mowers and hardware for all these big stadia and World Cup/club events come from up on the airfield out Hixon.
Congrats to all involved and another reason to be proud.
Oh Staffordshire.....
Is wonderful..

Kinky John takes it upon himself to help his neighbours. When called to assist a lady in distress, he will take it upon himself to tend to a lady's garden should she be unable to herself.
But the gardens of Staffordshire have proven to be unruly, overrun affairs and often not worth the blood sweat and tears. Kinky John duly requests that the men of the household take the initiative so that their more charitable neighbours are not burdened.

Used an Allett when groundsman for the hockey club, brilliant machine. Two pitches cut to perfection every Saturday morning then played on them, perfect results every time.

Wasn't Allett Mowers one half of the 80's vocal duo "Yazoo"?

I know someone who works there.
Moans all the time about lack of parts but reckons they build about 30 per day and they are seriously good machines. ⚓️
