I’ve never heard of this, I’ll have to give it a go. Anywhere you can watch it? That's the link for "The day after" but as jesus says, the full version of "Threads" has been taken down from youtube and you have to create an account with Vimeo to watch. WELL worth watching though. Both very good but Threads is far bleaker, darker and more intense. Certainly a far better entry on Reece's imdb filmography than Home to Roost is the link for Threads Edit: Also worth a watch is Home To Roost was quite scary in it's attempts to be funny. Jon Thaw and comedy an odd mix. I seem to remember Dennis Waterman doing a 'comedy' around the same time. Was he a chauffeur or similar or was that another one with Jim Davidson? Either way all made nuclear war look hilarious in comparison. Th end credits of Threads had 'woman who urinates on herself' as a listing. I often wondered what she thought about her credit and if she invited friends and family round for a screening

Great memory. Was thinking 'Up the elephant and round the castle' Jim Davidson but different show. Just remember the opening credits. Think switched off after that Mrs Wembley was Joan Sims? in 'On the up'. My only real memory of it.

I wonder if 'woman who urinates on herself ' ever had a career in films or appears at Threads conventions signing photos etc. I guess that would be taking the piss a bit

Looking forward to it!

Keeping on the theme of 1980s nuclear holocaust films, this deserves a mention.
I reckon it is the best of the lot…

Keeping on the theme of 1980s nuclear holocaust films, this deserves a mention. I reckon it is the best of the lot… Oddly was going to give a mention. I remember when first watched on TV was expecting something like The Smowman due to the artwork I guess. speaking of the great John Mills. The Quatermass Experiment was excellent. More post apocalyptic than nuclear but my Dad used to let me stay up to watch it. Found on DVD recently as You Tube kept doing the honours. A young Toyah in it. Was great to watch again

Recent movies worth watching imo…….Kings Man (prequel to Kingsman trilogy) and West Side Story. Only watched West Side Story because the Mrs said she "endured" Kings Man so she chose West Side Story. It backfired because it’s a really good film imo.

Watched The Eternals earlier in the week, trailer looked good but the film was not that good. At first I thought you were being too kind, then I figured out (IMDB) it was the movie "The Old Guard" that I was confusing Eternals with. That movie was painful to watch and I am being kind.

Movie night with the kids… their choice was Scream.
Pretty much standard slash movie stuff. Lots of stabbings and set up. Not then very scary. Well apart from Courteney Cox who is seriously scary. What a mess. A warning for anyone who thinks Botox is a good idea.
4/10
Not the worst film I’ll see this year, but it ain’t up to much.

Really enjoyed Scream, but I'm a massive Fan Boy from the original, so extremely biased.

I liked Scream because it went back to the 70s/80s style horror type of film like April Fool's Day, Friday 13th etc . Also Drew Barrymore wanted that role as was unexpected to audiences what was to happen to her
