The Tomorrow War Time travel hokum with more plot holes than Swiss cheese where Chris I'm a Pratt along with his American buddies save the world and reunite his estranged family 2/5 bearable if you check your brain at the door beforehand Such a bad review had to watch ... it's pap. How do such creatures travel across the universe? These creatures can roll a Hummer like a child's toy so why not use tanks? They're equipped with light weapons why not give them all heavier ones Spent most of my time shouting at the screen!

Mrs Md and I were flipping through Prime and a trailer for The Brass Teapot came up. English lead is gorgeous too! We do like a quirky film. I’ll not say much here but we loved it. Stared watching this instead Good call

really enjoyed godzilla vs kong, a very subtle look at the damage we have wrought on the environment personified by a chuffing big gorilla and giant nuclear lizard and the human cost of deforestation represented by a giant robot lizard, all very deep stuff Unless Godzilla dances when he’s twatted someone I’m out He doesn't dance but he does float, ridiculously for about 30 seconds! Something to do with him returning to his natural home that sits mirrored to our own. I am not sure if I got this right as by this time in the film I was past caring. It was a blessing in disguise that I arrived 30 mins late for this one!

The Forever Purge
Like the other purges but with more racial/immigration intolerance - same formula: here comes the Purge, unprepared victims, the need for escape in a time limited and hazardous fashion
Same old but ok if you like the formula
2.5/5

Black Widow was surprisingly good. I was stuck with it being on virtually every screen a few weeks ago. It's no Logan but as an origin story it was better than expected.

Another Round - 5 stars.
A story that could quite easily have fell into contrite nonsense was handled really well, with excellent performances. I actually cried which is something I’ve not done in a while at a film.

I’ve missed the cinema more than I’ve missed pubs and just as much as night clubs.

I also enjoyed Black Widow, although it didn't live up to what I thought was an excellent opening couple of scenes. Not one of the best Marvel films, but not one of the worst.

Went to see Old last night. Thought it was decent enough but the ending was rushed and underwhelming. To be honest, the premise wears thin pretty quickly.
On a side note, since when did people think it was okay to talk in the cinema? To be fair, I only ever see it in Stoke cinemas. Sub-human scum.

Watched 13 hours again an understated Michael Bay film which is on par with black hawk down. Then I watched the hunt which I really enjoyed

Both sides were reprehensible people with the exception of the survivor. It’s not meant to be a serious take on the subject, a bit like van dammes hard target. It’s more satirical of the two sides of an argument being closer to each other at the extremes than they are in the middle. A bit like communism and fascism, and as for sensitivity of the subject have you watched The death of Stalin that totally lampoons the death and subsequent shenanigans of a bunch of genocidal fuckwits.

Asked a lad behind me be quiet once so he kicked the back of my chair called me a specify cunt and threw something malteserly at the mrs. As he turned to his mate and the bird with him laughing I turned around grabbed him by the throat and dragged him over the seats in to the aisle next to me. He shit it and left when I let go, often wonder if he still talks in the cinema or if it has resulted in PTSD every time he watches Star Trek first contact? I was with a couple of mates and their birds I don’t think I would have gone off on a couple of lads on my own to be honest could have ended badly lol

In my opinion, it has been far too long since the last decent horror film on the theme of sheep (Black Sheep, 2006), so I'm looking forward to this:

I was with a couple of mates and their birds I don’t think I would have gone off on a couple of lads on my own to be honest could have ended badly lol Haha brilliant, I had similar a couple of years back watching Widows. Walked along my row and said shut the fuck up to two lads. The couple behind them said thank you and they didn’t make a sound for the rest of the film, hardest I’ve ever felt, even if I was with my old dear! I do think The Hunt was a well made film and you make some good points, I’ve just personally become a bit allergic to writers using sexual abuse of minors as a plot device. I think it’s lazy and contrite, although I watched a film recently called The War Zone with Ray Winston and directed by Tim Roth. Don’t know if you’ve seen it but it’s bleak as fuck. It was criticised at the time for the same reasons I’ve just mentioned but I did a little reading whilst I watched it and Tim Roth expressed it was a story close to him because he suffered abuse as a child, so watching from that perspective changed the experience.

Space Jam: A new legacy for me last weekend.
LeBron just ain't MJ.
I wanted it to be a great homage to my youth, but it was very disappointing.

Florence Pugh according to the BBC steals every scene and I wouldn't argue. Everything I've seen her in she's good. The little drummer girl and little women especially.

Just got back from watching The Suicide Squad. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Really enjoyed ticked multiple boxes Do you need to have watched the first one to enjoy this one? The trailers have looked good but have not gone to see it yet with the intention of watching the first movie, I just haven't got around to it. Re: Black Widow - Florence Pugh does make the film in my opinion. Totally unrelated but judging by her voice in her interviews she enjoys a smoke, very rock 'n' roll!!

Not really there are a few subtle references to how characters know each other but nothing movie breaking. The first is on Netflix and not as bad a film as made out the action and the characters in the first are good it’s just the studios edit doesn’t help the story you can feel where the gaps are and it then has to wind back up. No problem like that in the sequel/reboot it just flows joys itself. Best description I can give it is the dirty dozen crossed with an episode of Rick and Morty but with DC characters.

Cheers, unfortunately I am one of the few people on the planet without Netflix. I have had it in the past but I tend to spend more time browsing for something to watch than actually watching something. So this Suicide Squad is a bit of a remake of the first, is that right?

Take a bit of Indiana Jones together with a touch of Pirates of the Caribbean, a dash of the Mummy and Romancing the Stone and what you end up with is Jungle Cruise.
A romp that doesn’t tax your brain.
But doesn’t particularly excite either.
A 5/10 movie.

Have you seen Fighting With My Family? A great feel-good film (and I didn't realise it was based on a true story until the end). I thought the opening to Black Widow was superb but the rest was a bit disappointing (still good, and I enjoyed it).
