Gotta be Dyche surely Their fans wint like it but hed probably keep them up Well if they don't go for Dyche and 'Gravel Voice' wants to get back into management he'll probably need to reassess his expectations because he isn't the managerial hot property he seems to think he is. He may even suit a smaller international team- similar to MON and N Ireland? Yeah Id agree with that. Dont think hed get the Everton gig in any other circumstances. Desperate times call for desperate measures though

Lampard needs to rethink being a manager, he clearly isn't any good at it.

Lampard needs to rethink being a manager, he clearly isn't any good at it. I duno I think people are incredibly harsh and negative. It’s the same with Gerrard who is being written off completely because of a tough time at villa. They’re 42/44 respectively which is so young. It’s like writing off someone in another profession when they’re in their 20s. I don’t think management is a “you either have it or you don’t” type gig. (Maybe to become one of the top managers in the world) it’s a learning process but people seem to love seeing failure. You have to have an incredibly thick skin I guess. I’d say the issue is more that certain guys get top jobs too quickly. You can understand it in a sense because a top former player has experience of the pressure and intricacies of working at an elite club; but I still think guys like lampard would be better served cutting their teeth in the lower leagues for a while and working their way up. But if you’re being handed top jobs then it’s unrealistic to expect them to say “no thanks Chelsea, I’m going to manager Dagenham for a few years for 0.2% of the wage you’re offering”. Better for them to start at the top and earn the payday, because if they start at the bottom and fail then they’ll never get that payday opportunity.

Lampard needs to rethink being a manager, he clearly isn't any good at it. He said the other week “I’m not a miracle worker” Well Frank. Good managers are. You clearly aren’t. It was a miracle MON kept us up when he first came. And he didn’t turn out to be the best. Face it. Your crap 👍

Lampard has failed in every manager job he's had, it's not harsh it's the truth. I agree they should start lower and that's on him, he's a millionaire he should ask himself if he wants the chance of a successful career in a job he enjoys or more millions, it's pretty arrogant of him to think he doesn't need to cut his teeth lower down, I'm sure he had to as a player so why does he think it should be different as a manager. It's not just him though, quite a few high profile ex players that want to get into management seem to think they're above it. Gerrard hasn't failed in every job, he'll get another chance I imagine.

After walking football, maybe the next big thing is a Veterans football league, with older or nearly retired players obviously and older formerly highly respected Managers who perhaps have passed their sell by date. Think of players like Modric and David Silva, managed by Bielsa, Pulis or Roy Hodgson. There are participation formats for an older generation, such as the Golf Seniors tours or Tennis veterans and classics. So football could be next up for consideration.

I think Everton should go with Slippy G. He'll be more popular at Goodison than Benitez.

People have fallen over their own cocks at the star power of Lampard & Gerrards names.
They shouldn’t have left Derby & Rangers, they were given big jobs way too quickly without ever showing that they could actually hack it.
They need to start again further down the leagues, just because you were a champions league player doesn’t mean you’re also a champions league manager.

Won't make any difference who they get in. They've had countless managers now and everyone has failed miserably. Basket case of a club with player recruitment being right up there with the worst I've ever seen.

Their recruitment reminds me of ours over the past 6 years, just that they've spent shit loads more money for their crap

Bidding is out now for the job of scraping "Frank Lampard's" off the side of the stadium, I'd imagine. Unless they put it on with tape.

At one point the Manc and the Scouse were getting so high pitched beagles were turning up at the front door.
