At some point we have to stop buying all these footballers and a decent coach has to come in to make what we have got better, including the mentality.
It's a never ending cycle of new manager, "they aren't his players", more players in, more failure. I'm sick of it.

Of course it matters. He wouldn't take it if he didn't think he could turn us around. Anyway, it's all probably irrelevant and we won't even consider him because Neil is here to stay for the foreseeable.... They all think they can turn it around though don't they? Shame Captain Smith isn't still alive. At least he had the balls to plough on regardless. No talk of turning the ship from him....

It's a never ending cycle of new manager, "they aren't his players", more players in, more failure. I'm sick of it. Spot on. It stems from the lazy way the owners recruit managers. Leaping from one style to another just because they either fancy a manager or have allowed things to rot so much that they just thrash around for the nearest taxi off the rank. Sort out what they want and recruit to that and it's step 1 on the road to recovery and lessens the burden on new managers each time.

That is correct even though if they settle on a football philosophy and club culture I suspect it wouldn’t be a progressive one and I personally probably wouldn’t like it, at least it would stop the chaos and lurching.

Don't think I'll ever get over the fact we opted for AN over Carrick or Corberan (I doubt JC ever even considered them).
Just in the same manner I'll never get over the fact we opted for Lambert over anyone else!

Hopefully Alex Neil’s name is added to this thread before we get to page 40 Page 41 and he’s still here. Was hoping his appearance at the Fail last night was the prelude to him being unveiled as their new manager!

Does anyone actually know who else was under consideration when Lambert was appointed? Flores Martin O Neill turned Stoke down too Derby denied an approach for Rowett All in the public domain so at best Lambert was 4th choice presumably there were other options that didn't work out either

Mike Phelan and Gary Neville Should have got Carrick when we had the chance I honestly still feel Carrick would have had a much harder time here than he has at Boro. He’s playing a system up there that doesn’t suit our lot (i.e. two holding midfielders).

No, Hughes stated “ who else would take it”.. Lambert was sitting at his mums with a cup of tea dunking Rich Tea biscuits, which is always risky when Stoke rang him, Lambert in his words couldn’t believe his luck. This club is an absolute joke and getting worse by the hour.

I spoke to Graham Potter at Leeds first game of season. He was in queue at ticket office. I said to him " I thought you would have been manager today" His response was that so did he, but it didn't happen because of internal wranglings. I then jokes I was glad because I hadn't forgiven him for missing the header against Leicester. Look at what he's gone on to achieve whilst we obviously still have internal problems. SORT IT before this club falls into the abyss, thanks to people's egos.

Strange but false: Bruno Espírito Santo is an anagram of Fuck Me….We Are Getting Relegated. Think I saw it in The Guardian.

Top half and improving I would imagine

Blackpool is even closer to Alex Neil’s home. He could be at the training ground inside 15 mins, 20 max.
