Iβm not sure I think if you look at lambert , Rowett , OβNeil and Neil they all have mediocre or worse running through their cv , they are beige in style , with a negative outlook on the game , thereβs a definite pattern to our managerial recruitment itβs just hopeless

Luton have recruited a manager who plays a similar way to Jones which means he can get the most out of the squad he has inherited. We on the other hand have recruited successive managers with completely different playing styles leaving the manager to rebuild before he can get them to play the way he wants while in the meantime getting poor results because the squad isn't suited to his style of play.

Whilst many were excited by it at the time, in hindsight the Jones appointment was the worst one of the lot. It was absolutely apparantbthat he only played a certain way (and woukd not budge from that way) and it was even more apparant that we didnt have the players to play that role. Shocking shortsightedness

I think your missing the point weβve just a pattern recruiting beige sub standard managers whatever the style full stop we have under invested in managers for our muscle and consequently wasted millions and millions on the team where weβve vastly Ives spent for what weβve got

Yeah, but Jones was successful with the team and left for a bigger club. Our managers have failed, so we think a change is needed. Not that I disagree with Lutons way of recruiting, it's the only sensible way.

According to wiki, Neil now seems to be in the top half of divisional longest-serving managers, with only 6 being there for a year, and 10 for 6 months
Crazy
1 Robins 5yrs 292 days 2 Rowett 3yrs 63 days 3 Pearson 1 304 4 Martin 1 144 5 H'bottom 1 28 6 Lowe 1 16
7 Ince 307 8 Tomasson 192 9 Kompany 192 10 Appleton 189 11 Eustace 173
12 Neil 117
13 Mowbray 115 14 Hudson 96 15 Bilic 88 16 Foth'ham 86 17 Taylor 80 18 Carrick 60 19 Corberan 59 20 Rosenior 50 21 Edwards 36 22 Toure 24 23 Critchley 12 24 Norwich 0

More than half of all managers in the league replaced since the season started. That is what happens when clubs run out of money and fans are unhappy with playing style and results. Average debt of clubs in the league is Β£70 million. More than almost all of the clubs are worth.Covid has brought things to a head and even with Forest buying most of the best players in the championship, there is still no money available to actually pay a fee for a player. So,to appease unhappy fans, the manager is replaced. EFL players values and wages have collapsed,so anyone with cash to spend in June and 14 players out of contract has a once in a lifetime opportunity to assemble a promotion chasing side on the cheap. It will be interesting to see what happens with Nick Powell.

Interesting looking at that list how Carrick at Boro & Corberan at WBA have almost achieved instant reactions with inherited squads left by dismissed managers, both leapfrogging us in the process! π€
No having to wait for the transfer window to get going with them pair!
