Doesn't look like Carrick's going to Boro after all Woukd have been an interesting appointment. Wonder who they’ll turn to now? Presume Dyche is distancing himself from it

An appointment that would scream “potential FFP issues forthcoming”

Cattermole would go down like a lead balloon if there's anyting in that.
And Dyche into evens for the Baggies - but haven't seen anything to suggest he'd take it?
Boro Lee Cattermole 1/2 Leo Percovich 7/1 Rob Edwards 7/1 Carlos Corberan 9/1 Gary O'Neil 11/1
WBA Sean Dyche 1/1 Carlos Corberan 6/1 Roy Keane 6/1 Chris Wilder 7/1 Scott Parker 8/1 Leam Richardson 10/1 Rob Edwards 14/1

I find it quite strange how slow to move Wolves, Bournemouth, Hull, Cardiff, Boro & West Brom are.
Granted it looks like GON will get the Bournemouth job and Mark Hudson is likely to get the full time gig at Cardiff.

Was great at Wolves in their rise to the top flight but things went abit stale and sour for him there. The Spurs job did him no favours, can see why they'd be considering him but don't think this arrangement would work for a second coming.

Doncaster are 12th in the league and just 3 points off a play off place.

Wolverhampton Wanderers have made Michael Beale their number one target to replace Bruno Lage.
The Midlands club are expected to move quickly, with contact anticipated between Wolves and his current club Queens Park Rangers to discuss his potential release.
Contact between the two clubs is yet to be made, however.
Beale’s contract is believed to include a release clause. All parties are also mindful of the fact that QPR play tonight against Cardiff City.
Wolves are believed to have been extremely impressed by his work, reputation and references. He would be seen as an exciting, progressive appointment, breaking the mould of what they have done before in terms of managerial appointments.

Call me crazy, but I'd like to give our current manager at least 5 minutes first. We're not Watford.

Not even half a season into his very first managerial job and suddenly he’s worthy of a Premier League gig. Massive risk to go for someone unproven. Good for us mind, as it potentially takes another Top 6 rival out of the picture.

Good thing his parents went for 'Thomas John' as middle names rather than the other way round.
