Looks like a 9-0 thumping brings out the axe.
Wonder if MON will be interested?
Interesting to see where he turns up next and how high he thinks he can reach

Ross' time at united must be as disastrous and short as any appointment in memory? A handful of games, conceded 23 in four games. Just after the best win in recent history for the club against Alkmaar. Rumours are a cabal of experienced players downed tools

Dundee United Football Club is a Scottish association football club based in the city of Dundee. The club's first ever tie in European competition was in the 1966–67 Inter-Cities Fairs Cup where they knocked out holders Barcelona in the Second round winning both legs in the process before losing in the following round to Italian giants Juventus despite winning the home leg 1-0. They had their best spell in the 1980s, reaching the semi-final of the European Cup in 1984 and the final of the UEFA Cup in 1987,[1][2] also reaching the quarter-final stage of the latter in both 1982 and 1983. In total they have won 46 games in European competition, currently more than any Scottish club outwith the Old Firm and Aberdeen.[3] Certainly a far superior record than Stoke City in Europe.

Obviously not all work the same

You have forgotten to mention their incredible losing record in Scottish Cup Finals. (It was at Jimmy White levels) One of my best friends was a Dundee Utd fan and Scottish Cup Final weekends were always "interesting". On the Friday before the game he would be excited on the basis that they couldn't lose another Cup Final, could they? Monday morning he would creep into the office and sit quietly at his desk with his head in his hands. He didn't need to. We all felt his pain and after the first couple no one had the heart to tease him about it. Sadly he died before they finally managed to win.

I remember the final in 87. Was the game where the ball seems to go in through a hole in the net seem to remember and someone was sent at half time to check the net was firmly attached. Turned out was and just deceiving from the camera angle.

Reliable source tells me Mon is talking to Dundee utd today.
A bit less reliable, they're offering a contract to Zander Clarke too
