PC was far wealthier and had far more business accumen than your average Joe but no there were no signs of him becoming anything like a billionaire under his own steam. You don't seem to be able to differentiate between the two. It's not Denise who funds Stoke as Peter and indeed John more so are significant stakeholders in bet365 just because she's the brains behind it doesn't make their stake any less significant they're both billionaires in their own right. If they wished to do so they could quite easily afford to continue to fund Stoke City even if Denise said no more. With all respect Peter hasn't got a great shelf life left so whatever you think of John he's our best hope for a long term future. All that said they're fucking hopless at running a football club. The only person for John to learn from is Peter who was completely useless himself so even if he insists it's his train set and he wants to drive the train at least bringing in someone for a few years to teach him to drive a train from this era and not get all his knowhow from the driver of the flying scotsman would be a great help to the club, he might even find he enjoys just sitting back and enjoying the ride. If you are expecting HS2 you’re better getting off at the next station because your on a journey on Stephenson’s Rocket ! In a 157years that’s all it’s been and that’s all it will be, 1 cup win. Less than a handful of European adventures, the odd star for the fans to worship and that’s your lot, we are not a Real Madrid or even a Aston Villa. We may have billionaires for owners but we just don’t have the fan base to sustain any chance of permanently mixing it with the big boys and I know this will upset some fans, but how any times have we reached capacity since the corner was filled in ? Our only hope is a return to the Premier League and to ruffle some feathers whilst cementing our place, but this time to enjoy what we’ve got. Football supporting isn't a train ride, the vast majority of fans don't get off and climb aboard a shinier train. Size of fanbase is not particularly limiting when it comes to premier league finance. I'm on this train because it's my train, if you want to accept it being shit thats on you. Unless you hadn't noticed we haven't had a premier league season where ST's for the corner were available at early bird or even at the start of the season. I've no doubt if we'd retained our status it we would have been close to capacity in no time, actually reaching capacity in an all seater stadium is all but impossible there's only so many weirdos who want to go to a game on their own.

Unless things have changed quite recently, Peter is not a significant shareholder in Bet365. The Billions are the assumed value of the business not really personal spending money. Peter's holding is around 10% I believe they are also protected shares who's value can't be diluted by issuing of extra shares. John around 25% they ammount to pretty significant chunk of the business. Why isn't it personal spending money no one can stop them selling their shares they don't have to get Denise's permission they might even give her first refusal as a gesture of goodwill. Maybe she doesn't like pumping money into Stoke but agrees to it to stop this from happening.

It must be great living in your version of utopia ? Where a middle of the pack EFL championship side can attract the most dynamic flavour of the month coach that money can buy, a new CEO to replace the COO who’s only just started his job and whom you don’t know anything about and all this at Peter & Jon Coates expense and not at Stoke Holdings, because it’s just small change ! And then the newly appointed CEO tells Pete & Jon to do one back to the Directors box because I’m in charge now ? In your world gate receipts, season ticket sales, replica shirts, training kits & leisure ware, catering & alcohol sales are of little relevance as a larger fan base doesn’t really equate as the rewards of Premier League football would cover any shortfall, mind you are sure that a return to top flight football would guarantee a full stadium ? Is that until the novelty wares thin and the sprouts of empty red seats appear just like last time ! You talk about the devide between the fans since the departure of Pulis and the unlikely event of a reunification, well you are a great help in this cause when your branding Stoke fans as “ rimmers, wankers & weirdos “ or perhaps you have family with season tickets ?

My world is fine thanks. I haven’t branded Stoke fans as anything that’s just made up bullshit. You just carry on believing your version of reality. I’ll stick with mine our fan base is perfectly adequate to support a Premier League club of reasonable standing it’s bigger than clubs that will be there next season. Also it can be grown. Tickets were in short supply for most of our time in the Prem, it’s all dwarfed by tv revenue at that level anyway. We’ve shown we can hold our own at that level and on our day compete with the elite clubs. Only disastrous decisions by the owners caused our downward spiral they’ve lost more money financing it than would have been necessary to keep us there the directors box is the best place for them.

Do you deny these positions exist or are entrenched? I said theres only so many weirdos who want to go to matches on their own, you seem to have taken offence maybe you're one of them. Not my fault if you can't find anyone to go with perhaps it's because you find the need to try to belittle any views you don't share.

So that’s why all my chums have left me here in the Boothen, I wonder if I could exchange my season ticket and go and join them in the south stand ? Anyway back to you, which is what it’s all about isn’t it ? Nobody really cares about any of your posts just like they don’t care about any of mine ! Your profound thoughts and opinions are not going to change anyone’s life or alter the course of Stoke City ! You’re wasted really, you deserve to be heard on a loftier platform than the oatcake, with the slippier than a snakes balls backtracking you should be in politics.

I've no need to backtrack on anything I post opinions generally quantified as such whereas you post your opinions as if they're facts. In fact the only thing you've got right is that nobody really gives a fuck about either of them. I'm about as far away from a politician as you could get. I say whatever I want, I'm not the least bit careful about it and answer questions with a direct answer.

could be available come November [br Why wait until November, lack of ambition John!!!!! Because Nuno has got a job one where he's clearly gone for money not for footballing prestige as such he's probably want to trouser that money for a few months at least we can't just 'show ambition' i.e. chuck money at it because of FFP restrictions no point spending £millions getting a top manager only to have a 10 point deduction e.t.c. like any new players any new manger has got to be relatively cheap

Until we get promoted Or until the rules change it will get a bit easier as our wage bill coms down as losses will come down, like Millwall have this summer we will be in a position to spend very modest fees at some point until then it's sell to buy or free transfers & loans only with the very occasional tiny fee for super cheap young players Various people you can blame that for, it's one thing you can't blame this manager for though
