I voted for Sheron , just to be controversial , he certainly ran steino closer in terms of skill than many give him credit for IMHO

apb - what do you mean you have only seen those 4? You've seen Lightbourne, Dadasson and Dyer and loads of others. ;D

I wasnt a regular untill 1998 so i can only really remember Thorney and obviously Sammy now.
I will always hold Thorney in high regard but for me Sammy is not only a better striker but a better all round player as well.

Steino - Simply because of the period of time involved. Sammy would eclipse him quite easily if his early success continues. Sammy's English is already better though.......like ya know ;D Oh Dear, How was I supposed to know he'd sod off and not come back, and only score one more goal all season

Sammy Bang Bang better than Steino?? Can't seriously believe those votes, Steino is way ahead imo. Steino v Fuller would be a good poll, not sure which way I'd vote on that one.

The poll was December 2005, sal. Sammy bang bang had scored 8 goals in his first 10 games, or something similarly impressive, and was looking the business.............but we all know the outcome now, of course

Out of those four, I've gone for Thorney mainly because of his extra ability in the air.
If anyone saw the recent Master tournament on SS's, you'd recall just what we used to endure in Tony Ellis and Keith Scott. THAT miss by Tony Ellis against Derby was unbelievable!
