I suppose if they do come through the Division 1 play-offs and crowds return they will be the biggest club in the Championship based on attendance?
I must admit I'd love to see them flunk the play-offs but it seems highly unlikely.

I fancy Blackpool to do well as theyve hit a bit of form.

I fancy Blackpool to do well as theyve hit a bit of form. Sunderland were the better team at the Stadium of Light a couple of weeks ago, Blackpool's keeper had a great game

They’re in terrible form, only won one of their last nine after it looked almost certain they would go up automatically.
Blackpool have won their last four and Oxford have won six of their last seven so those two sides have the momentum.

You have to laugh at Pompey, losing 1-0 at home to Accrington who had nothing to play for, and dropping out of the play offs on the last day.
I think Blackpool could do well, have the momentum

I thought Blackpool looked decent when we played them early in the season.

They seemed to have some great form a couple of months ago, but they've really ended the season unconvincingly.
Not sure why they're favourites, although obviously it's a bit of a lottery.
Oxford have ended the season on fire, and Blackpool have beaten Sunderland twice in the last few weeks

Oxford have ended the season on fire, and Blackpool have beaten Sunderland twice in the last few weeks The whole concept of the form team going into the play-offs being the one to get promoted is a bit over-egged anyway. I remember that in both 99/00 & 00/01 we stormed into the play-offs only to go out in the semi's both times. In 01/02 we limped over the line and prior to the first game against Cardiff I felt it was inevitable that we'd make it three on the bounce because we'd been so poor and look what went and happened! Say what you like about Ninian Park but Deon Burton's late goal in the first leg was such as important goal. Going into the 2nd leg 2-0 rather than 2-1 and we'd have been dead and buried.

Got a sneaky feeling for Lincoln and would be delighted to see them go up. Would be a good away day too next season.

Probably end up being a February Tuesday night if they do go up. Which is pretty much the same weather as August in Blackpool.

Oxford, Lincoln, Blackpool, in that order all preferable to Sunderland

Oxford, Lincoln, Blackpool, in that order all preferable to Sunderland I agree. Sunderland are a huge club and once they get a foothold in the Championship will only grow and be a direct competitor. We are poor enough as it is without what they could be in a couple of years being around.

Blackpool going up could do wonders for season ticket sales as there is no chance you will get a ticket without one

Blackpool are the form team right now, the other 3 have been a stumbling and a bumbling. Whether they've been saving themselves for the playoffs remains to be seen.

Have Lincoln ever been as high second tier? Tim Coleman's record 7 goals as a winger were scored in an 8-0 win over Lincoln in 1957, so the answer is yes. One thing I hadn't realised was that Lincoln were also one of the clubs who along with ourselves lost their place in the Football League at the end of the 1907/08 season.
