Interesting to see how they do next season If they manage to keep most of that squad snd Sam, then they look odds on for return.

This leaves TP as the undisputed master at avoiding relegation.
It was such a huge task for Big Sam. WBA made a good decision in appointing him but perhaps they left it too late.
Perhaps Big Sam would fancy moving north a few miles to another Championship club in need of experienced leadership.

That’s my thoughts too, i remember when we were both relegated both clubs said they were going to do root and branch reviews and make changes, WBA had a massive clear out CEO the lot went and all new people were brought in, we changed the manager. I know that came straight back down but they turned it around so quickly and you expect them to do it again

Are we saying the three favourites for promotion are Albion, Fulham and Sheffield United? With the three favourites for relegation from the Premier League are Norwich, Watford and whoever wins the play offs?
English football has a problem doesn't it

If big Sam sticks around they will go straight back up. He is the sort of manager if backed who will walk this league.

Feel for big Sam. Top manager. Dinosaur. Has to be, because there’s definitely only one way to play football. Given the question marks regarding his exit from the England job though, I’m surprised he’s still in football.

Dinosaur...What rubbish
Be tough for them. Norwich were able to hang on to good players after selling Godfrey and with the Covid situation a quiet Summer all round transfer wise which suited relegated teams perhaps. Will be top 6 you'd think but in no way certs.

Don't know how exactly WBA is being run or even who owns and runs it anymore but whatever they are doing seems to be a good no nonsense well budgeted model that works well for them. They don't seem to get lumbered with high waged & big contracted players like we have done. Their model is clearly more adaptive to the Premier League promotion / relegation modus operandi where as we clearly weren't & as has been proven we clearly went about it all the wrong way! & the well mentioned (by the CEO) plans to rectify this have sadly failed too.
I'm quite sure that WBA will be there or there abouts & if they don't get promoted straight back up next season, they likely will the following season.

In my opinion Norwich & Watford are both much better sides than WBA & Fulham.
In terms of teams coming up, I don't think there's a great deal of difference. Hull are a decent side and did well last season before losing Bowen. However Sheff Wed also have a decent squad and would had stayed up had it not been for points deduction.
Personally I think the championship will be alot weaker next season compared to this.
Sheffield United I think will struggle and won't bounce back. They were only in the championship for 2 seasons before going up to the premiership and it seems the momentum kept carrying them forward. Ever since coronavirus they've been shocking and I think Wilder is a massive loss for them too.
