I genuinely think he was on the verge of or indeed did have a mental breakdown. He wasn’t a well man. He just couldn’t cope with the pressure of the job. He's a typical narcissist, great when everything is going well but an absolute arsehole when it isn't.

His two players for every position policy was a nightmare for this club. We have such a bloated squad now and that’s in no small part down to him. It was so foolish of the board to support that. His left back options Ward or McClean he should have been sacked for that alone.

I said it when he got sacked, Jones isn't a bad manager, you don't get Luton promoted two divisions (nearly three) by fluke. I don't think people understand how hard the Stoke job was when he took over and Jones made it an even harder job for MON when he came in. Jones completely lost the dressing room and nearly got us relegated, but I still don't think he is a bad manager.
However, he was absolutely crazy, the excuses for every defeat got me angry every time and the club should've put him out of his misery after the 3 1 defeat to Preston away. Some of the most depressing times I've ever experienced supporting Stoke where under Jones as I started to realize that we are going to be in this division for sometime and could possibly get relegated. He left us in a right mess, that's why I still think MON has done an amazing job to turn most of it around.
