Reet fully lot 'em Dingles fowk
A BRAWL at a Southend United football match saw a hooligan throw a sausage roll at a steward. Supporters of Barnsley FC have been given a football ban after the brawl at Roots Hall stadium in 2019.
One fan, Curtis Horbury, became enraged after incorrectly hearing stewards had hit a disabled person, leading him to join the fight and throw a sausage roll at the staff.
The fight began shortly before half time during the game on March 3 that year, when stewards received reports fans in the away stand were standing on chairs.

First a cabbage at Bruce, now a sausage-roll at a steward. Working our way up to a full meal here.

Didn't one of our fans spit pie at Graham Taylor and another threw a pie or an oatcake on the pitch once? why have no idea

I can genuinly remember a friend of a friend being ejected at the Bolton promotion party evening part way through the first half, for lobbing his local pie onto the pitch
It caused a right rumpus in the away following when the Rozzers came in after him

I remember being evicted at Bramhall Lane, can't remember what we were throwing on the pitch, was it oranges? Went round to the turnstiles and paid to get in again.

Must be a thing - Yorkshire and sausages. I saw, as a kid at my nearest club Bradford City, a chap got arrested for taking his hot dog sausage out of his breadbun and throwing it at one of the goalden goal girls! Bally had a coffee shower from his (once) own Stoke fans!

First a cabbage at Bruce, now a sausage-roll at a steward. Working our way up to a full meal here. Probably the most well-rounded and nutritional meal these types of folk will ever get the joy of having.

This kind of straight away points out the ill-fated dimwittedness of it all.
Basically just up for a fight whatever and the comedic irony of it being masqueraded as some sort of mis-aligned heroism instead of the straight up dumb twattery that it is 😂

Could have just dropped it. It can happen with pastry goods inside football grounds.

Could have just dropped it. It can happen with pastry goods inside football grounds. So annoying when you’re just trying to make a quick cheese oatie before half time while sat in the Boothen end and it always just slides off that grill and ends up in the feckin 6 yard area!

The most remarkable thing that strikes me about this story is that Southend v Barnsley was a L1 game 2 years ago and next season Southend will be in non league and Barnsley could be Premier League.
Just shows how quickly things can change in football.
