He's out of contract so definitely leaving Yes, but there could have been a clause that if you play x amount of games it is extended.

I’ll categorically say I’ve no idea but If we are agreeing to must play clauses for the likes of vokes someone really does need their head examining ids commercial naivety beyond comprehension Cole’s for W star has been a perineal sub wherever he’s been Wouldn't be my perineal choice tbh. Perhaps he needs to play it on the pelvic floor a bit more...

There’s a clause in his contract that says if he plays we don’t have to pay him

Was just wondering if he gets a bonus for playing on top of his small £40K a week allegedly. Well done Scholes fantastic negotiation there . He’s on around £25k a week not £40k l Fucking joke it really is

I still think Vokes in a 4 4 2 formation with a quick partner running the channels could do well, but with our preferred systems he is f-----!

For all the vitriol aimed at the player IMHO I don’t think he’s ever had the opportunity of playing in a role/style that suits his strengths since he was signed. A poor signing, his fault or the fault of others?

It would not make a iota of difference if we played any system Fact is the bloke can't run, can't jump. He knows it and his confidence is shot. Finished as pro.

He does get up well in the box, but he’s not great 1 vs 1 in his hold up play. If he had Fletcher’s aggression, he’d be so much more useful!

I agree, he's had a tough time from some of our fans - scored some important goals for us, particularly last season and just isn't suited to our System(whatever that is)

A poor signing, his fault or the fault of others? Tbh though mate I'm not entirely sure what his system or style is. I don't think he's shown much promise in any formation we've played and I suspect since he's arrived we probably played a variety of different systems and formations. I've just seen so little from him in any game he's featured.

He's finished, Burnley knew he was finished when they sold him to his and couldn't believe their luck that we were prepared to pay what we paid for him.
We 100% did not do our due diligence on this signing, it was giving Rowett what he wanted again & Jones was probably awe struck that he had the chance to spend £7m on Sam Vokes so didn't pass up the opportunity.
Oh well.

Don't believe he was finished at all. He looked the kind of player we needed at the time.

He has effectively been made available for transfer and several Championship clubs have been made aware of that.
As it stands, City are unlikely at this stage to sign Vokes, but he remains an option should various other targets be missed and the window develop in not the way Pearson intends. Equally: -- As it stands, Man City are unlikely at this stage to sign Afobe, but he remains an option should various other targets be missed and the window develop in not the way Guardiola intends

Worse than K Scott, but you can bet he will score against us, if the opportunity arises. He might be worse now than Scott was for Stoke but Vokes has a far better record (pre Stoke obviously) than Scott For me Scott was worse because he could move about more but was (at best) equally shyte and by all accounts a tosser as well The sad conclusion is there is a lot of competition in the all time shit Stoke strikers competition 😞
