Powell has been a bright spark this season, Davies has confirmed he is a good GK too Davies has got steadily worse. Not sure about that, he's only just got back in, he was ever steady before bursik come in. Still ahead of Bursik for me. Hopefully we can cancel Gunns loan and rotate the two on form next season, two good gk's are company but three is a crowd. As for the young lads if we can keep them here and they can step up a notch next season we could do well depending on what additions we make. Can't remember the last time Stoke had so many promising young lads coming through in one go, people suggesting we may struggle next season but these lads can improve and kick us on, we're not used to seeing that happen at Stoke, we always judge players as at their peak, these lads are not

But O'Neill says they not ready to start a game and only in the team because his first choice players are injured, very strange Not strange if you know what O'Neill's like. But to be fair to him he's probably trying to protect the players, some of whom are only 18. Perhaps even to the point of being over protective. I think this is part of it and with his interviews it’s also a case of managing expectations and keeping it in line with the usual line of succession. If we can’t move on any of the deadwood and/or our older squad and then he starts bigging up the youngsters and making statements that they’ll be involved - it would cause so many further and unwarranted issues.

If he was what you say I don't think we'd be where we are in the PL2. True we've used other keepers, but he's the main one. He made some pre season mistakes but that was a year ago, nearly, he's improved since, and so he should being a young man He's actually been on the bench a number of times for the first team. Given how easily our keepers injure, he might have come on in games, and MON trusted him to do that, but it never happened.

He makes the same mistakes and with it being in the u23s it’s hilarious to watch. Broome and Henfrey look much better than he does.

Both need some first team football before they would get anywhere near for me. Two good gk's fighting it out for the start is a good situation, keeps both on their toes. We have been unlucky this season needing to loan a third

This shows why we need some proper peak-age players. Ridiculous reliance on youngsters and veterans
