No chance surely, unless it’s linked in with a swap/loan for Bursik?

Surely if this is true the we're selling a number of players this summer, including the likes of Souttar and Collins.
Either that or the club are pulling off a huge stroke.

Or giving them Bursik, which would be a bit shortsighted perhaps. Then again, we desperately need a striker, and this lad is 26, not 32 at least. Its also amazing that they have brought this lad in right at the time when he was starting to become a good player immediately after putting Toney on the map.

Perhaps we are so confident in our transfer strategy, our manager, our fitness team and the players we keep that we are going all out for it. We will take the hit on any points deduction because we will smash the league with 100+ points. What could possibly go wrong.😂😂😂

No chance surely, unless it’s linked in with a swap/loan for Bursik? Without knowing the volume and credibility of the whispers, it's a hard one to assess. But it's an unusual Sentinel story, in as much as presumably Pete has heard something strong enough to base a speculative story on FFP would obviously seem to kill it stone dead though, unless we've already lined up a sale like Collins to Man Utd?

To be fair, we have done them a huge favour in loaning Bursik. I did think at the time it might have been linked with a transfer further down the line. I wonder if they would be interested in one or two of our players in a swap + cash type deal?

They'd be mad not to try and get the biggest price for him they can.

Who do we think is the more likely to attract a bid this summer?
Campbell coming off injury Souttar ..or Collins?
Suppose the money would be on Collins with all this talk of Darren Fletcher wanting him badly at Man Utd. They are really lacking at centre-half, even if he'd be a project there. And £12-15m would be chicken feed for them

This is nailed on happening,
TS has sorted it, Collins & Bursik swap for him, but loaning him straight back for while we pay his wages too for the remainder of his contract

U21 goalkeeper and has played at every level up to that point too, he has had 3 good loan spells now in League 1 as well as his 20 game stretch for us. I wouldn't rule out the possibility of the vultures circling for him just yet. Out of the three you mention it would surely be Collins that goes, Souttar as good as he has been has a bit to prove yet that he could handle the step up, Collins we all know that injuries and luck permitting will go on to be a very established premier league player,

Which would be my reservations about him stepping up and doing it to the level that would be expected of him. Certainly wouldn't be willing to pay £7-8m to find out.

Yeah - I'd like another season of pedigree behind him, and preferably a bit more in this league ideally. His last 2 seasons are proper numbers though, unlike anything Afobe had ever produced at least! And he is at absolute peak age. So swings and roundabouts. Doubt there'll be many clubs spending that type of money outside the parachute teams This guy seems to be just a random Aussie fan, so woildn't put much credence in it at all, but you never know!

Bringing in a natural goalscorer to lead the line would certainly up my hopes for next season, but I'm really afraid of what we will have to sacrifice to pull such a deal through! Will we lose Collins or Souttar? Or even worse, both of them!?

I think when you step back, something like £7-8m would be massively overpriced for someone with no track record outside the third tier of English football
If we had that money available through a big sale, and the increased options that'd provide, you would think there'd be someone we could get from Europe, even with the post-Brexit permit shake-up, that would provide better value.

Watched a few Peterborough games since Bursik went there and none of them impressed bar Szmodics.

Their owner was on Sky the other day and said he wasn’t going anywhere until January, where his goals in the Champ will have doubled his price tag. I’d much prefer the lad from Rochdale.

The Link probably to sell more season tickets. who the hell is going to rush out to buy a season ticket on the basis of some half baked rumour about a bloke covered in tattoos coming from a League One team? The days of Rock the City signings are well and truly over I'm afraid.
