We just need to let the lad make the best recovery he can , tough injury but he is young enough to get going again , pressure is on in our minds because we have nobody else who is going to replace his goals and the club just has to address this or it will be a tough season as all evidence since his injury screams out to those who maybe still do not know what the fuss was all about .

For anyone on Instagram, check Stoke’s story.
Campbell taking part in a pass, move, shoot drill with another player and a keeper & not just hitting it in to an empty net.

Yeah I saw this, probably see him after about 5-10 games which is a big bonus. Especially if he hits the form he had at the start of last season.

On the plus side he plays a simple pass moves onto the return and shoots. On the negative side, the goalkeeper would need to be blind and armless not to save most of these- clearly got to build up his strength. I thought it would be February before we saw him again - perhaps start of the New Year looking at that.

Will he ever make it as a centre forward? Or is inside forward in a front three the best place for him?

The outlook of posters on here at times is astonishing.
Tyrese didn’t find the top corner with one shot so therefore must be out for another 5 months.😂😂

I’d love it if he could go more central, because in reality he is the 15-20 goal a season striker we’ve missed for years. I also feel like it’s easier to bring in a good winger on the cheap, than a good striker

There’s one clip that tags Bursik before that. Any idea who the left winger is on that one? He looks mustard but don’t recognise him at all.

I also feel like it’s easier to bring in a good winger on the cheap, than a good striker Why tinker with his position? He was scoring goals like a striker and creating like a winger playing in that channel in between the full back and central defender before getting injured. It was almost like seeing one player do the job of two players. To me, he needs to play in an area of the field where he’s facing goal as often as possible. Playing for Stoke as a number 9 usually isolated up front by himself, and spending much of the game with his back to goal, will just make him ineffective.

Say about a month behind everyone else then. Seriously? He'll still be a couple of months behind everyone else on the day he joins in a full training session - one month getting ready to turn out for the reserves and one month getting match hardened. If he isn't ready for training that involves full on physical contact he's nowhere near playing a reserve game let alone being in the first team. And I hope I'm wrong.

Using your model, if 5 months was the furthest away, I’d suggest that it’s 5 months until fully fit and firing, which would suggest something like 3 months before coming back into the first team to feature in games. The reality is, we just have no idea. If he doesn’t have a preseason at all, then you’d have to think that it’s at least 1-2 months before he is match fit assuming that he starts U23 games right at the beginning of their season. We need a loan ASAP. It’s got to be one of the biggest priorities. Let Brown compete with Fletcher for a while, but we have no natural (or effective) right winger at present.

I noticed him too, I assumed it was Doughty but could also pass for Tymon too.

Nah it won’t, if he’s out til Christmas or longer I’ll hold my hands up, as I’m not a physio or medically trained in any way.

I believe the club have said they are looking to bring someone in who can do Campbell's job - which in the circumstances is far more sensible than crossing fingers and hoping for the best. I want to be wrong but I can't see Campbell being a first team regular for some time. I'll be more optimistic when he's back in full training.
