33 apparently.
So should stand out at that level still.

Can’t see him being stuck at LB at that level. He’ll be able to play anywhere he wants and not just because he’s picking the team 😂

33 apparently. So should stand out at that level still. Wow. Surprising that he's playing at Conference level. You'd think he'd be better than that level even now so Hanley Town is quite a drop. First steps into management for him though which is obviously something he wants to do. Wonder if he will continue playing as well?

He really wasn't very good but certainly had great passion.

Decent that. They are definitely a club on the up. Why did Vale move from Hanley to Burslem? Was it simply that they had the offer of land which gave greater scope to build the Wembley of the North? Be ironic if Hanley Town managed to progress to become a League club and overtake the Vile! PS - the only time I can recall going to the site of the old Vale ground in Hanley was in the early 50s. My dad took me to see Jonah the Whale - a preserved whale which was touring the country on the back of a low loader and lobbed up at the old Vale ground which had nothing left to show that it had ever been a football ground.

I think you underestimate the level of the league as there are far better players than Dicko that have played in it.

I don't know if you wore glasses in the 50s forny, but you certainly needed them. I used to park on the old Vale ground in Hanley in the late 1970s/early 80s and there were still a few crush barriers dotted about the edges.

To be fair (to me) because of the whale, there were a lot of people there and many had come by car and I suppose the parked cars were probably obscuring the barriers. When my dad told me it was Vale's old ground I didn't believe him at first - until another father with his kids confirmed my dad wasn't talking bollox!

Fuller and Dicko back together.
I’m sure between them they could recruit some of that promotion squad. I’d be more excited to go and watch that than to watch Stoke at the moment!

Won't believe their dad but instantly accept the word of almost any other adult I suppose it's the same principle as those folk who won't believe what an army of scientists expert in viruses and vaccines say, but will believe some bloke on a youtube video telling them he knows Covid is fake because he's drunk special water and hasn't caught it even though he never wears a mask.

Interested to know how they finance such, along with paying £000s for Fuller. Good luck to them

Let’s not get carried away, he was all heart, huff and puff but the boy Dicko was a poor footballer Over 450 games in Professional football, maybe a touch limited at a high level but to say he was poor is insulting. He's lived the dream.

Let’s not get carried away, he was all heart, huff and puff but the boy Dicko was a poor footballer Poor footballer compared to what, you and me? He was a limited footballer technicallly at the higher levels but he will be extremely good at football. You simply don’t make it as a pro without some ability.
