Even the commentators are getting fed up of saying it now.
During the Burnley game he just said "It's time for a bad language apology" and left it at that.
It's pathetic in fairness.

Every time they apologise i imagine 1m people watching it saying “ just fuck off” to the tv screen Which is kind of ironic 😄 Even my mrs has noticed it, and she doesn't pay any attention to football commentaries (unless Grealish is playing)

Not everyone appreciates bad language being used. Especially in public. Would you like it if your children used it? In front of you!

It really annoys me. More so because I’ve hardly ever heard the bad language which is supposed to have preceded the apology! I feel as though I’m missing out.

I guess swearing before 9pm isn't allowed on Tv so maybe feel they have to.
was a player at Tranmere in the 80s that they had to stop interviewing live due to his language. I think it was Kenny Irons, dropped the F in every other sentence.

Players should be allowed to use foul language unless their name is Wilshire or they play for Bournemouth, Arsenal and ??

Guessing it's the TV producers or directors that are in the commentators ears straight after they believe a players outburst has been captured on a pitch side mic & they get told to do the apologises! Hence why it sounds like even the commentators themselves are getting racked of with it all now.

They should do it with films.
Next time I watch Scarface, I expect to see Brian de Palma in the corner, saying sorry every five seconds.

Watching football is beginning to make me feel victimised and emotionally distressed. All the swearing is starting to cause 'verbal traumatic shock syndrome' in both myself and my wife. Having checked the definition for verbal assault i.e. "an act that includes..the delivery of harsh words" I feel it may be appropriate to start logging dates and times in order that an escalation of my outrage may be pursued.. possibly legally?!
