Hasn't featured much since the new management. They've brought in a number of midfield options as well so can't see him playing much.

You love to see people that can’t wait to see them to fail 🤦♂️
He seemed to be getting in their side and they were doing well. But not been on the bench for the last few. They’ve lost a few I think, so if he isn’t injured hopefully he’ll return.

Fade into obscurity then... Like most of our world beating loanees. That's exactly what they said about Campbell and Souttar... There was something about those two though despite them not being ready for our first team at the time. Souttar was getting rave reviews from Fleetwood fans and obviously learnt a huge amount while he was there. Campbell was always a natural finisher, but had work to do regarding his stamina. Yes there were people saying they wouldn't be good enough, but there was always a counter argument. I've not seen anything in Sorenson when seeing him play to suggest he's got what it takes, and if he's not getting into MK Dons side at his age it does indicate he's not going to make it at Championship level.

I expect Sorensen to go on to have a career in the lower leagues or abroad and add to the long list of our academy players who don’t improve Stoke or get us money.
Collins is our only academy graduate who will do one of the above.

I agree. Souttar and Cambell were never really academy graduates though as we paid reasonable sums for them.

He's already made it into a Premier League side - ours - so your example is not really a fair manner of deciding whether a player can do it or not. He wasn't sent out on loan for it to be a trial, but to give him a chance to get some games under his belt . Now loans can work out in all sorts of ways as we have seen many examples of here, some were good, some were bad. He's still under contract here, and for what it's worth, O'Neill spoke highly of him last season and at the start of this. However the signing of Mikel blocked his chances. As our season has turned out, with many injuries to midfielders, we could have used him ourselves. But we won't really find out until he's back.

I don’t know if he’s injured at the moment, but they have signed serial failure Josh McCreachan recently. Having said that, after the Goalkeeper, Sorensen has made the 4th most starts and is third in the list of total appearances for MK Dons this season- he didn’t feature against Gillingham, but it’s clearly not correct to say he can’t get into the MK Dons team. I don’t know whether he has a future at Stoke- I did see that the Superstar winger was hauled off at Luton at half time as Mad Nath said he needed people he could rely on. For those who say “another academy product for whom we’ll get no money”,at least we didn’t spunk £12m up a wall plus £3m in wages to get a steaming pile for which we will get no money in return.

Verlinden isn't playing Sorensen isn't playing Lindsay isn't playing Ince is hardly playing Gregory is in/out There are good footballing, as well as financial reasons that these players are out on loan. The better players that we have out on loan are those who didn't want to be here, the likes of Etebo, Imbulla and NDiaye, whose presence was making the dressing room toxic. The full list of players on our books that we clearly don't want here is shockingly long and expensive.

MON likes pace and youth, doesn't he? So he must stand a chance here as one of four CMs competing for the two positions behind Powell (4241 of course). Lennie likes him too and l think he can spot a decent midfielder.

To be fair I think he's on about league starts which according to this gives 12 starts against 16 appearances on the bench (edit - actually, re-reading that it looks more like 7 from the bench) The same page also confirms he's had plenty of minutes in the cup competitions so at least he's getting some real game time there rather than another season in our U23s

He has not made any impression when he has played for us. Seems to have good fitness but not particularly skilled or a gifted passer. If he is not standing out in a mid to low table League 1 team, it’s hard to see he has a future a division higher. Though the same could be said for TOB and Tymon

I am desperate for TOB to go out to a lower league side next year also. Wrt Sorenson, he doesn't appear to have done much there, but there can be many reasons for that. Despite being 21, it's his first full season of senior football. If Mikel goes next season (unlikely, but we can hope) then I expect him to be a squad player here next year, which would give us some more energy off the bench at least. Comparisons to Souttar is a bit unreasonable. He had 18 months at Fleetwood and half a season at Ross County before this season. Tyrese was a product of a very good academy and came to us for about 1 million if I remember correctly. Sorenson should be given another year before we start throwing daggers at him unless he looks woefully inept during that time.

That's exactly what they said about Campbell and Souttar... talking of Campbell and loans for some reason it popped in my head last night the most horrendously cringey tweet ever when loaned him to them, he had just scored two past them in a fa cu second round replay that jones managed to throw away a 2-0 lead in... they tweeted out something like no more goals against us only for us, i wanted to vomit when i read it not sure what this has to do with anything but just wanted to get it off my chest
