Has Vokes actually touched the ball against Barnsley and Brentford?
I honestly believe, instead of bringing Vokes on,just play with 10 men.

Well, are any of us surprised by the result, we're playing pub football at the moment, we're a nothing team, don't create, can't sting passes together, cant shoot, lack creativity and sorely lack pace, drive and purpose. If you continue to set up your approach to games with an underdog mentality against, lets face it, average opposition in this league, that's what your team becomes, a team of underdogs scrapping for leftovers, hoping the other team is more shit than you and hoping they make mistakes or have an off day. Our current team set up is negative, one paced and failing but time after time after time it's rolled out, every match a version of groundhog day where we fail to even do the basics right, never mind achieve a level of footballing competence, it's grim to watch and serves no purpose. This is down to the manager, clear and simple, I thank him for last season but it's time he grew some balls "again" and put out a team that can compete not only physically but also in footballing terms. this is his team, his signings and it's woeful. Pavel I think you are deluded! It seems to me that if we hadn't conceded yet another worldy goal we would have got something against a very capable team who are scoring goals for fun. For two seasons now Brentford have been up and around the top three places in the Championship. I do not call that "average" MON at present has an absolutely threadbare squad to put a team out. Pavel you need to get far more realistic in your expectations! I'm not talking about a single game, so who's deluded, I'm talking about how we have set up against most teams this season. My expectations are simple and are that we put out a team to compete, both physically and football wise and that the manager doesn't treat every match as if we're playing Real Madrid. We have enough good players at the club to play decent football, compete and if, and it's a big if, he picks the right players, chooses the right tactics , formation and sends out the team to win and not to just nullify the opposition. I expect any professional footballer to be able to pass the ball, run and move if they are coached properly and given the freedom to play rather than just spoil. I suggest you read posts properly before calling people deluded.

We have secured the services of Campbell, Souttar and Collins who will be playing Premiership football in the next season or two (if they can stay fit) Would you have chosen Toney before any of them?? I haven’t mentioned Toney. We did spunk ten million on Vokes though. I just mentioned him as an example of someone who is having a good season for his team If fit, most fans would prefer Campbell and probably the other 2 defenders It hasn't worked out that way I do hope that this manager will play a few more youngsters, both Pulis and Hughes shied away from it

Was that Vokes at full pace when running to their keeper then? Was he actually running? Get away! Well for our standards he wasn’t but for his, I think I could just tell he broke from a jog.

Stoke fans don't realise how fortunate they are, just consider how boring it would be to support Man City who have only lost two games all season. Must be really , really boring.
Oh I would love to be that bored! 😫

Given the same chances that Brentford had would any of our players scored either of the two goals?

Very much so but it was criminal to keep Vokes in any form and not bring in a loan at least to replace him (TC) who the fuck would take that useless cunt and pay the stupid wages we are paying??? No fucker!! Agreed but we should have given him away for free. He has the stench of a loser about him I'm afraid

In the nearly Sixty years I have followed Stoke there have been very few promotions, similar with relegations. I have been to two League Cup Finals and one FA Cup Final and a couple of Cup Semi Finals. It is not often we have anything to get excited about at Stoke and generally those exciting times have arrived when you least expect them to.

He has to give Norton a chance, seriously what is there to lose? Vokes offers absolutely f all and the fact MON plays him is embarrassing and a huge lack of judgement that will damage MON’s reputation if he persists any further.

I can take losing, but as the saying goes.... doing the same thing and expecting different results is, most definitely deluded.
We have to face up to it, our current players and Managers tactics at the moment ain't good enough.

Good strike for their equaliser. But our players had several opportunities to get a shot in like that and didn't. Toss.

Eric Pieters away at West Brom, or Afobe in Nathan Jones first match, ironically against Brentford away.

Decent first 45, Brentford VERY good second half. Very good trumps decent. They're a top two side, We're a mid-table side. But after the awful performance against Barnsley it was appreciably better.
Btw, l know the knockers always think they know best, nut I though MON made the right decision taking Nogger off at half time, he was one mistimed tackle away from a red. Unfortunately Tymon is no left back. In retrospect, he probably needed Cousins sat 10 / 15 yards in front of him.
