We're in touching distance of the playoffs in the worlds most unpredictable league in the middle of the the worlds most unpredictable season. And lily-livered Stoke fans are worried about relegation. It's years of conditioning under that wanker Pulis. Just like I said. Don't think you can blame Tony for this. Stoke supporters have always been able to find the cloud in the silver lining.

I’ve got a sneaky feeling our form is about to turn, we’ll get 13 points from the next 5 and we’ll be going to Brentford for a genuine promotion 6 pointer.

One win in thirteen games over a period of nearly nine weeks will always make people jittery. Fuck all to do with Pulis.

Both are main threats are injury prone. Should anything happen to them I can’t see who else will score for us. But this is Stoke and if there’s a way of fcuking it up we’ll have a good go at finding it. I personally think we’ll stop up but it could be tight unless we start to win games

its impossible to extrapolate but, 1 win in 11 so far, compared to Nathan Jones 7 wins in 38 games. (1 win in about 5)
Our current WIN form is considerably worse than his record at the moment. ( of course that is not adding draws into the equation)
it is rather worrying

The next 2 games are very difficult and I don’t see us collecting wins but the 2 home games that follow against Sheff Wed and Luton should surely see us collect some points🤔 You could almost write the headlines for the Luton game. Jones manages Ince perfectly as he scores a last minute winner against his former club.

Looking at the stats overall from this season and last, it's quite a staggering change in form even allowing for the nature of the injuries et al (league games only).
Last Season Games - 31 Won - 14 (45%) Drawn - 6 (20%) Lost - 11 (35%)
This Season Games - 27 Won - 9 (33%) Drawn - 11 (41%) Lost - 7 (26%)

Not yet. Our current form would still give us enough points to stay up. It's when the draws regularly turn into losses that I'll start to worry.
Defensively we're still pretty solid but we need to do more in front of goal. The midfield is key for me - it has to start taking the game to the opposition rather than be on the back foot all the time. If we do finally click I think we could go on a decent little run and if we do any relegation fears will vanish well before Easter.
I've seen us get relegated enough times to recognise the smell - it's just not there at the moment. Equally we don't have that spark that suggests we're genuine promotion candidates either.

No need to worry. I'm the World's worst when it comes to betting and so have just put £5 at 90/1 for us to be relegated. So it definitely isn't happening.

I've been a Stoke supporter for so long that I always have a look over my shoulder first, but we we really have a squad way too good to be in a relegation battle again!

It’s a fair point. Not thought about it till now but on currant from and no striker can’t see our next win coming. Maybe we can stay up with draws Carry on this form & everybody will be raisin eyebrows.

Yep, same view as myself. Midfield is key, however MON needs to change his tactics and push forward from the off.

It's an understandable feeling given the previous 3 seasons. I think we will finish top half personally but recent form and style of play have been somewhat worrying.

MON has now got the most difficult job in football - turning round an extended run of disappointing results.
It is easy for a new manager to change the culture and improve things but only the very best can start well follow that with a prolonged slump and then put things right again.

Interesting point March.. we've got to hope you are wrong given MoN won't be going anywhere for the foreseeable future.

We're not in any danger this season, but until we're free of all the crap we've got clogging our squad up, MON keeping us out of trouble is mission accomplished as far as I'm concerned.

MON has now got the most difficult job in football - turning round an extended run of disappointing results. It is easy for a new manager to change the culture and improve things but only the very best can start well follow that with a prolonged slump and then put things right again. Turning draws into wins is more about keeping the faith, not panicking and sharpening the killer instinct - that's very different to turning round a losing streak where the issues are usually far more fundamental. We're not playing well at the moment but at the same time we're not playing badly - and O'Neill demonstrated last season he can turn a losing side into a winning side so there's no reason to believe he can't do the same for a side in a far better place than the one he started with. He did the same with Northern Ireland - started by making them hard to beat and then turned them into a winning - but it took quite a while to get there. If those draws start turning into regular losses we could be in trouble but frustrating as a result like the last one out was it's still a point relatively comfortably earned with 10 men for half the game. For me that's a good sign in terms of confidence, organisation and commitment - it's not a performance that screams we're in big trouble.

Are we still confident we are not Hull City in disguise. They were in a similar position last season and when they lost striker they just slid right down to the bottom.

We are in relegation form.
Need to just try and muddle through until the end of the season and grind out these results from somewhere.
Yet again the transfer business has been an absolute disaster.

That was an embarrassing performance. We are very much among the worst sides in the division right now so need to try and turn that around sharpish.

We're 3 more bad results away from it. We need a win immediately otherwise we're in trouble. Can't see where the next one is coming from.
