For those of us older ones it has to be the shit. Closely followed by the arse There’s some sort of symmetry there Not me as an older one. Arseholes way out in front. I have a soft spot for Man Utd probably because newspaper shop owner in Wolstanton, where I was a paperboy in 60s, was a massive fan and used to take 3 of us to Old Trafford several times a season. Plus I liked the Fergie years and have respect for what he achieved. However, in my opinion, the garlic munching Whinger and the nest of imbeciles and morons he presided over, particularly ramseygate, plus the 70s semi finals, should place them well and truely as the most despised club in the universe for any Stokie. Two of my favourite games were the 3-1 cup defeat with Rory Longthrow produced 2 goals leaving the whinger trying to ban them plus the "Let’s all do the Wenger" song. As for the rest of the big 6, I only dislike the way they manipulate everything to their advantage and are allowed to get away with it. The company I used to work for had two season tickets at Old Trafford for years. I could have gone free to any of their games including European games The only time I ever used them was when Stoke were there 😊 PS. Great keeper was Lawrie Leslie

I had a lenghthy conversation with a Man Utd club official about 3 years ago . I extolled to him how much I hated his club, and he could not understand why. I went over the 70's and 80's and why everything Man Utd is ingrained in me with hatred. I told him that Man Utd winning anything demeaned the competition whatever it may be, and that will never change. I told him when in Europe I always hope they lose I also said that the fact he could not understand my feelings, was another reason why we hate his club, they have very few "real" fans with a full understanding of being a real supporter, and he was one The conversation went on for about 30 minutes as he just could not get it, why someone could hate another club and not wish them well in Europe etc It was all very civil and he thanked me for bringing such a matter to light with him, but then probably proceeded to forget the conversation shaking his head as he left me

My top three are
Arsenal by a huge margin - mainly for the 70's semi-finals, but just when you thought time was a healer, along came the Prem years with Wenger, Ramsey, and their scum fans, so they retain top spot for me. Second has to be Man U - media bias/love-in, their fans, "Fergie time", their fans, referee bias - eg Rooney elbow unpunished at Stoke etc, their fans, did I mention their fans ? Liverpool - media bias/love-in overload, their fans, Klopp is bloody irritating as well but they have played some good football to be fair
Don't really mind Spurs even with Jose, Chelsea, or Man City ( but can't stand them just being called City (or Citeh).
In the current league standing with Leicester 3rd and Everton 6th, I don't really mind either of them.

It seems we don’t mind Citeh looking at this thread. Personally I’ve always quite liked them even back to the that ‘70’s team, could be because I admired their fans more not supporting United though.

Liverpool, being 51 was at school surrounded with Adidas liverpool satchels/bags, don’t dislike liverpool as such, just they are the first glory hunting fan base I know, it then has be arse just for the lack of respect that the ‘jist’ is about there perception of us. The fact that we’re called a physical side, it’s a physical game should be and was it’s turning into posh expensive bar football to ensure you can’t tackle, well apart from that point where the two players can reach the ball at the same time, but can’t physically touch one another. I digress liverpool, not because of the team or city, just the first crop of satchel’s I got see n didn’t get. Man City, blimey Tis weird you wouldn’t see a man c top about till recently times, can’t really dislike em though cus they went down in the doll drums for a while, so really it’s any side who’s fan base things they have an almost divine right to win, cus they’re so use to it from previous achievements. Again I’ll go on about liverpool, the stories in the media about how amazing the atmoyis at anfield, went when they one the 1st division (proper) and they was going be presented with what ever the metal thing is 😉. Stood in the kip as was visiting a friend at uni at the time, shit atomisphere. That’s the getting used to winning Gollocks and expecting it, guess it was good watching a European KNOCKOUT game though. There’s more than one attribute to a good side than what some times get pandered for, blimey am I changing me mind and thinking it’s arsenal🤔

Do you like discrimination and inequality?
If so, you support the "winning team" 😅
Basically disliking them is a sign that sport, and life, would be both more enjoyable and fun with a more leveled playing field. It's called a competition for a reason, but when the same teams finish in the same positions year on year for almost 20 years is not exactly sport is it? Yet on we go.... Yes I hate the supposed "big teams", the concept of a team being successful based on economic reasonings alone is quite sickening

What about "mardarse" everton ? Keep us out of Europe in the mid 70s by having the rules changed after we had got a place in the uefa Cup. "ask your grandad"
