If Fletcher and Powell both ok to start I would expect Fletcher to replace Brown as the only change to the starting XI.

Assuming Powell and Fletcher are fit to start, I would go with this.
Bursik
Smith Collins Suttar Noddy
Powell Cousins Thompson
Matondo Fletcher Clarke

I wouldn't start either of them tbh.
Fletcher has been overplayed and needs easing back. Powell has been battered all season. We need them both fit and firing for Watford. Have them on the bench and trust the back up to do their thing imo.

Have them on the bench and trust the back up to do their thing imo. Tough one. Rotherham will be a difficult enough game in itself but we are much more likely to beat Rotherham than Watford. If we rest both, don't win tomorrow and don't win on Friday, we're looking at 4-5 points dropped. At least if we play them tomorrow, we have a better chance of picking up 3 points this week.

If they do, they should get 60 minutes to give us a chance of actually winning a game.

I think we should and need to be looking at beating both. Brown up front with Matondo one side and Clarke the other with Clucas in MF should be enough to have a good go especially with these two in reserve. Fletcher has been overplayed as it is and we can't rush him back or else we'll lose him for a month and we're fucked.

There is nothing to suggest we would be rushing Fletcher back. It could well be the case that he was fit for Blackburn but the Manager decided to not rush him back for that one for all we know.

Common or garden battering to the body that someone as fit as a 27 year old athlete, l'm sure he can cope with. It's not pro tennis where players have to compete flat out for four or five sets day after day for a fortnight, is it?

We haven't got alternatives but the B team should beat Rotherham.

I expect us to win both. Based on what? Our startling form of late, or our magic in front of goal? Clucas has been crap all season. Brown did okay versus Blackburn, but doesn’t look like a goalscorer. We need to start scoring again to get some belief back into the team. The counter to Fletcher being rested is that the longer we go without a good win, the less likely we will be of turning around a poor run of form. I wouldn’t be overly disappointed if Fletcher was rested for the reason that you mention, I’d be more happy to see him play on the gamble that he’ll stay fit.
