Disagree. It was the professional thing to do. He was more likely to score than we were to not weather the final 20 with 10 men. Touche, I disagreehe was far from certain to score and would rather play 20 mins with 11 than 10. Well, he made the foul and we didn't lose. I'd say he made the right decision.

That won’t get rescinded. Correct thing to do though once they were done. Yes, not a snowballs chance in hell of that getting rescinded, we'd be laughed out of the hearing.

Massive loss. He’s played very well again today. Since Chester came back into the team at Sheffield Wednesday he have conceded 5 goals in 11 league games. Hes been much better lately the odd mistake aside. He must be doing well as he’s not getting dogs abuse around here (from me included)

Truth be told he’s a very good defender at this level and he always has been.

He’s been doing well for us recently, it had to be done and he’s given us a point. Issue came from naivety of 4 attacking youngsters charging forward chasing for the 2nd goal. We were over stretched on their counter. Nothing to do with this repetitive rhetoric that it’s down to MoN going negative blarb, it was the opposite. It’s because we went charging to find a 2nd.
Matondo looked like he’d benefit to having a full back sprinting through to help him, Smith would fit the bill, move Collins at CB with Souttar.

I think today highlighted we not only need another striker, but a proper right back as well.

1. It was denying a goal scoring opportunity not serious foul play.

No one else thought it wasn't that clear a red? I was probably 60/40 about it, he was still quite far out

I’m not sure I buy him taking one for the team.
It’s either poor positioning or organisation, I admit they’ve got us man for man which makes it tough and things are pinging it about but it’s avoidable. I can take the young lads making these mistakes but it’s harder with the older guys.

And how many have we won since he came back, and not forgetting the own goal, based on his loan spell performances he should never have been signed !!

Nonsense. We could need him yet this season, it only takes a couple of injuries and suspensions, and we're a player short. But the fact that MON did not even select him for the bench does suggest that he has no future at scfc while MON's in charge. He could become player manager somewhere, possibly not far from here, and prolong his career if he's succesful. A fit and healthy Ryan Shawcross would never be behind Batth in the pecking order. Given how Allen has come straight back in, there must be concerns about his fitness/robustness I didn't say he was. We could need them both, injuries have come our way this season and seemingly continue. As for fitness, having seen him play a couple of times for the u-23s, he is fit enough.

One of those Guardiola type tactical fouls for me. Take the player down in those situations and face the consequences over conceding .

This red was his 4th big mistake. He shouldn’t be playing. He has improved considerably lately, his form has been good He has but even then he’s been making big mistakes. Against Derby and QPR he gave them their best chances. The og was terrible defending. Wrong side of his man, recovering the mistake and then the usual under the ball. And then yesterday caught on the hop. Collins needs moving inside ASAP

Shawcross was better against Leicester and it was proper encouraging. He needs to be phased in as the experienced one.

Again done by a simple ball through the middle (where Chester was) I don’t think Chester is the complete liability that he’s sometimes made out to be, he is by far and away our best defender when the opposition is running at our defence. His major weakness however is getting caught under the ball and the direct back to front ball which turns the defence. We keep seeing it. Given the situation he found himself in on Saturday however, it was the right thing to do to stop the attacker at all costs. The shit defending and lack of cutting edge did for us on Saturday, not Chester. Norrington should have done more to stop the cross and we watched on hoping for the ball to go out of play.

Certainly a huge blow but at least he only misses 1 game. Hopefully Danny steps up and takes his chance.
