So, I've been on a huge Fleshgod Apocalypse binge recently, after first hearing them last year with their notorious song 'The Violation'. Since then I've grown to like all the albums.
If you haven't heard it, do yourself a favour and listen to it, it's absolutely brilliant IMO. It's not traditional death metal by any means, but the whole song is insane.
So for those of you who are into that sort of thing, what technical and/or symphonic metal bands can you recommend? Doesn't have to be death metal, just anything really.
I did try Sirenia, but that felt like I was in a real life anime on the way to work. Didn't enjoy Septicflesh either and they're one of the highly recommended ones.
