Don't know why he's bothering to come. Welsh players tend to get a very bad press and lots of abuse at Stoke.

Presumably that option to buy is only realistically likely to be exercised if we go up?

Do we know WHY there was no loan fee? Surely that is pretty unusual these days?
Also, whilst the deal was nearing being finalised, it was claimed that there would be no option to buy as Man City were considering their right to match our option and buying him back. So what happened? If we now DO have an option to buy, does this mean that Man City have relinquished their interest - or can it still be rekindled if we DO want to buy in the summer?

Give me a few minutes, I’ll find something to be outraged at and slag the club off about.. "It's just ridiculous, we now look like cheapskates in the whole of the German footballing world. It wouldn't surprise me if this puts all the other Bundesliga teams off wanting to do business with us in future, if we're not even paying a courtesy loan fee. On top of that, why are we paying all of his wages? We're doing them a favour taking him off their hands, he did sod all at the weekend. Plus, how does it look to the player- we want to 'try before we buy'? What kind of message does that send about the faith we have in him? That's seriously going to knock his confidence. Additionally, why don't Man City want first dibs anymore? They probably know something we don't. I bet his attitude is crap and they've pulled out and kept shtum. Like my arse, Stoke."

So what happened? If we now DO have an option to buy, does this mean that Man City have relinquished their interest - or can it still be rekindled if we DO want to buy in the summer? German media have reported Stoke have option to buy at,I think,€7m, in the summer but Man City have price match option. Presumably if we do go in to buy Man City would just buy him back and then sell him to Stoke for a bigger fee? Like Wolves did with Afobe.

Tony has most certainly got his majestic mojo back. He’ll rightly be strutting around like king shit right now. Shame us fans can’t sing his name this weekend to show our gratitude.
