Hackett is sadly right. Mikel Allen Clucas With Powell on the left ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ Maybe we could go with Powell as a false nine now we have pace on either wing from Matondo and Brown and Allen pushing forwards from midfield. Two big bonuses with this no Vokes and McClean It’s a better option but Verlinden is better than Brown. I have to say it 😂

433 doesn't suit our best player Powell. Shouldn't suit Powell but I think he played really well on left of front 3. Could work especially if he has an attacking fullback overlapping. Some mard arses on here tonight. We’ve been crying out for a left back so we can banish this wretched 5-3-2 system once and for all. Now we are moving away from that we’ve got folk moaning about us playing 4-3-3. You couldn’t make it up.

Quite obviously as thats 4 separate posts with abuse towards me... I may not agree with you on some things but does it need to spill over? Of course it does 🙄 Hypocrisy at it’s finest, if I had a pound for every time you went too far. Particularly towards baryen Show me then. Its not hard. Bring them up. I don't agree with doom merchants like you and the one you mention but theres been no abuse. I'll wait...

Still think we will sign a right back as well because MON clearly doesn't rate Smith. The lad out of contract at Motherwell sounds good.

www.stokecityfc.com/news/2021/january/First-word-Rhys-Norrington-Davies/"I want to be a Premier League player. No disrespect to Luton but this is a stepping stone from where I was. Coming into a system, 4-3-3, that suits me and hopefully playing every week at left-back and showing everyone what I'm about" "I like to get forward a lot. I'm defensively sound. I've got a lot to offer" Hackett is sadly right. Mikel Allen Clucas With Powell on the left ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ I’d prefer Powell at 9

Halfway through the window now and not a jot of interest in him from anywhere. I would have thought Premier League clubs would be forming an orderly queue and fighting each other for the finest talent ever seen on the Clayton Woods training pitch.

Powell's best position is number 10, but I quite like him in that inside left role behind the striker he gets in some good positions......

Hackett is sadly right. Mikel Allen Clucas With Powell on the left ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ Yeah, 433 is a shit formation unless you've got the right wide forwards which we haven't. A 433 with the players we have will be hard to beat but won't solve our issues at the other end of the pitch. Clucas on the left I suspect.

Hackett is sadly right. Mikel Allen Clucas With Powell on the left ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ I’d prefer Powell at 9 That would undeniably be a better option than Vokes but I don’t think it would solve the issue of scoring goals. Powell is brilliant at creating chances for others but he hasn’t really shown himself to be a consistent goalscorer. But if we can’t get a striker in I would go with Powell, Brown could work too but Powell is the better option.

He's obviously not coming to be a back up to Fox, question is, where does that leave Fox?. It leaves Fox as one of 2 specialist left backs in the first team squad. MON, like most managers, wants 2 players for each position and wants a few of them also able to play in another position. That's how most managers build a squad - do you know of a better way of doing it?

If Fletcher isn't fit for Saturday, 4-5-1/4-3-3 would be a very bad idea. If wouldn't surprise me to see it, as I'm sure O'Neill will want to play all of Clucas/Mikel/Allen, but it is a shame. That said, Allen can often do a decent job further forward. I personally think its his best position as his ability to press the ball often leads to chances without risking huge gaps behind (as happens when he's doing it as a standard central midfielder).

He's wanted to play 4-3-3 since he got here and every now and then tries it again as if it'll be any different, I hope he isn't thinking of giving it another go. MON needs to bite the bullet and decide which of those three he prefers, they can't all play at the same time.
