At the moment I don’t believe we have the players for it but I reckon that’s what he’s aiming for. Unfortunately our best footballer(Powell) doesn’t really fit that formation. But we should look beyond Powell, he’s not the be all and end all is he? What players of the current crop.... Like I said, looks like he’s trying to build. Powell is our best footballer but will he fit into what he wants? Hardly a world beater is he, if he can get better, younger, fitter players in that’s what he’ll do |

That is “what Players do we have to play 4-3-3?”, is that right? In that case I would say as I’ve already said. I don’t believe we have the right players for that at the moment. But the kind of players we are going after would suggest that’s the end goal. |

What players of the current crop.... Sorry I get what you asked now. That is “what Players do we have to play 4-3-3?”, is that right? In that case I would say as I’ve already said. I don’t believe we have the right players for that at the moment. But the kind of players we are going after would suggest that’s the end goal. I think you are right - 433 is certainly MON's favoured system - and to be fair it is the favoured system of many top half of the Prem managers. But as things stand at the moment (and assuming we bring in another striker this month) it is likely that we will play 4231 for the rest of this season. Certainly 3 (or 5!) at the back now seems to be off the agenda so long as one of RND or Fox remains fit. To my mind that is progress!  |
