I've been looking myself as my 2003 Ford Focus ST170 is nearing its last legs owned from new under 80k miles but getting tired, I've been concentrating on an Jag XF or XJ and an A6. I need something comfortable for my old fat ass a 3.0lL auto for easy driving.

If I had the money I would take your hand off for it if it was for sale, the values are quite low right now but looking at past trends for fast fords it will rocket in 10 or so years, my old man sold his xr3i in the early 2000’s for about 500 quid and it was on the scrap heap two weeks later, fast forward to now and you can get one for less than 11k!

I might hang on a bit then lol 😆 its never cost me owt to get through a mot this year it cost me £75 for a new brake caliper and other bits and bobs. My only issue is the waring lights I need to find the time to get them sorted once and for all, engine, abs and traction control all on at some point then next day just the engine yellow lights but it drives perfect.

I would say unplug the battery and let the codes clear then plug back in and see if they come on again! No doubt an actual mechanic will spit feathers when they read my advice but it’s a way of seeing if you do have a real issue! Seriously though if you could afford to change and not lose the car it then it will come good, all st and rs badge fords are desirable and the original shape focus is now coming to be seen as a classic

I'll get around to it this year i have a mate who "gets" it through its MOT in that regard but I do have the mechanical side done when its needed. The only reason I've let it drag on is it drives fine so it doesn't affect us day to day.

Never had one but always wanted a Lexus - probably CT200h or 300h hybrid and very economical too Never can understand why Lexus don’t rate very highly on car review sites, though I think journalists review brand new cars that are incredibly expensive and expect them to be perfect. As a used car, after massive depreciation, they're a more attractive buy I had an old E class mercedes which was £44k new which I bought in a swap deal with an old pickup truck 9 years later. Executive have a massive depreciation due to the loss of status as they're no longer new

He’s not fussed he drives around in an R6. I’m looking at a 3 series grand turismo bmw at the minute

But decent V6 models barely come up at the best of times, so I don't hold out much hope on that one.

A lot of places have been doing that and then click and collect or drop off.

Private car sales or swaps are banned I did check lol. And considering I don’t have a car but need one for work it’s reasonably essential. I’m not in the lockdown flouting group my lad is in the high risk category so I wouldn’t want risk him or others so it’s mask gloves and talking to the bloke by phone while I have a look.

They are starting to creep up in value, it’s my favourite shape one it’s so aggressive looking
