Anyone watch the videos on the social media?
They’re fascinating to watch, grown men, sometimes quite well to do, seemingly good life, married, kids and all that.
And their world crumbles before a camera in the space of about 30 seconds.
And the really fascinating thing for me is... how did this happen? Did they set out to do it? Did they get caught up and it just kind of escalated, and perhaps more interestingly, what would they do if we lived pre internet?
What are the motives behind the hunters? Some seem quite calm and considered, others just seem very angry...
Either way, I find them quite interesting to watch like

He’s one of the angry ones👀

I love the videos, sometimes no better way to make your day better than see a nonces day completed crush and ruined.
Plus some of the characters which come out of it are absolute howlers!

The thing that gets me with them. Is when they deny doing it or say I thought she was 18 or I've been hacked. I think you do realize they have all the evidence you moron.
I know a lad who was stung in Alsager. His was a bit dodgy tho as he has Asperger's syndrome and isn't all there.
Didn't some bloke get done at some pub in Kidsgrove?

This one from the Sentinel apparently worked in Lattifs:
Police are warning members of the public not to take matters into their own hands after a man was confronted by ‘paedophile hunters’ in one of Stoke-on-Trent’s biggest parks.
Pervert Majid Mohammed has today been handed a three-year rehabilitation order after he groomed an ‘underage girl’ before attempting to meet her at Hanley’s Central Forest Park.
But when the 23-year-old arrived, he was instead met by members of Creep Catchers UK.
Video footage of the confrontation was then uploaded on to social media later that day. The sentences handed to these creatures is not enough, brand on the face with a P and castration.

Would you feel differently about the Alsager one. With him having problems mentally.

In principle I agree with what they do but in practice it needs the info handing over to the police for them to meet and arrest them

I actually have known of him for years and he's had Carers helping him with life and stuff etc. What he was doing though wasn't good.Even if he was just talking on net. Wasn't right what he was saying.

That is disturbing on so many levels. What's your verdict tho on guilty or not guilty? On the evidence of what he has admitted to on camera probably guilty, I have worked with a number of Asperger's sufferers as a support worker whilst employed in the Civil Service, it manifests in many different ways poor social interaction is one of the common issues, inappropriate/unacceptable "normal" behaviour can also be another, personally I would say there are other issues evident in this case though I am not an expert of course. I would hope he is under the supervision of the local social services who would have a definitive prognosis on his overall state of mind and the level of dangers he poses to himself and others. What I found most disturbing was the way he was approached by the men confronting him, they must have known before hand of his own disclosed disability therefore surely any right minded person would have contacted the local Police and Social Services to pass the information on the them, that was nothing more than bullying I hope the Police dealt with them as such. The cases I have seen have been dealt with in totally more professional manner with individuals who are nothing more than premeditated predators, this case will have been dealt with in the appropriate manner when handed over to the authorities, do you know if he was sentenced and with what if any charges were brought against him ?

Everyone in the comments particularly enjoyed ripping into the blokes looks and his Asperger's rather than discussing the actual nature of the chats and what had actually occurred. I think in this particular instance, the live streaming of the 'sting' shouldn't have happened. Leave it to the actual authorities to deal with straight away.

I agree however in many of the videos the accused openly admit what they have done, it's a fine line indeed though if they carry out their investigations professionally and legally they are helping to take these predators off our streets protecting vulnerable children. What it does do is expose the pathetic policing of internet chat sites and social media in general, any help the Police can get taking these scum bags off the streets should be welcomed.

This case in particular should have been handed over to the authorities before any action was taken by these cowboys, maybe they didn't feel the Police would be receptive to acting on the evidence they had compiled let's be honest it is not the first time the Police have failed to act on info./evidence regarding paedophiles and it seems that is still an ongoing problem in the North West in particular.

I didn't know the Outcome. All I heard was he was wanting to teach people to do stuff in the bath aparantly. Unfortunately under age people. I half ask the Question if he had a carer not sure what level of care the lad needed but say he had someone that would maybe visit him or help him with day to day things. Did this person not have any idea what he was up to. I think he obviously got moved out of Alsager because unfortunately the power of the internet and some also not nice people caught up with him and this was found.

Leave things like this to the professionals.

I think he obviously got moved out of Alsager because unfortunately the power of the internet and some also not nice people caught up with him and this was found. On 5 June 2018, Soul Survivors revealed that Cockett had been arrested and charged with three counts of engaging in sexual communications and activity with minors. He later plead guilty to these charges at Chester Crown Court, where it was heard that he had been speaking to at least seven underage girls online. Cockett was spared a custodial sentence and was instead sentenced to a three-year community order. Additionally, he was ordered to register as a sex offender for five years.
Just found this guilty or not seems that he was guilty after all ! but escaped a prison sentence, maybe the authorities will keep tabs on him from now on and give him the help he needs to prevent any further issues.

It’s certainly a fine line, and although I agree to most of the points on here, leaving it to the “experts” doesn’t seem to cut the mustard anymore, not when you see what’s being brushed under the carpet for years

I agree again however it is possible that people do not trust our authorities to act on evidence put forward as we have seen so many times when it comes to paedo. scum, it is a breeding ground for well meaning but untrained vigilantes taking matters into their own hands, the only surprising thing is we have not seen more action taken by the public the authorities have a lot to answer for.

The police have made a lot of mistakes in the past some of which have been inexcusable. What I would say however is that due to enquiries a lots been learnt from what’s happened and I don’t Believe those mistakes are anywhere near as likely to happen anymore. Lots of progress has been made in identifying CSE and CE which hadn’t even been heard of 2-3 years ago. I do think the paedo hunters intentions are honerable however I’m not sure they appreciate the money that it costs local authorities to rehome these characters. Perhaps if they want to identify them for offences they should do it without putting their work online and just handing their evidence over to the Police. The result would be the same if the police do their job properly. The courts are the bigger problem.
