Just seen Leslie died, colourful character, big man and had health issues for a lot of years, heart attack at 75. For the rock fans , sure many of you like i did saw him at Knebworth in 85 with Mountain opening for Deep Purple. Incredible guitar player, rest in peace

Mountain to me had the mournful sound of the blues combined with Leslie’s distinctive hard rock guitar and Steve Knight’s Euro prog style keyboards. A very distinctive and fine sound. RIP Leslie.

Really shocked to hear this. A great guitarist and a big character with a big voice.Got a real soft spot for mountain. A very underated band unless you were in the know. Taken his last sleigh ride.RIP Leslie and thanks for the music.

Great, distinctive guitarist. Nantucket Sleigh ride must be one of the pinnacles of 70s rock.

Great, distinctive guitarist. Nantucket Sleigh ride must be one of the pinnacle of 70s rock. Always reminds me of the end credits of Weekend World as I waited for Space 1999 to come on.
