Just watched 'Upstart Crow :Lockdown 1603 Christmas' on BBC 2 - it was brilliant. Recommend as a light heart laugh if you missed it via iplayer.
I previously watched several but not all episodes of 'Upstart Crow' this episode is slightly different but as i say brilliant. Ben Elton wrote it, but David Mitchell and Glenn's wife are great in it.

Gets some dreadful reviews. (I knew nothing of the program so had to Google it)

I watched one episode and had to turn it off.
I’d kill for a decent British comedy but they’re a rare breed.

The best part of last night was it was only two characters and in one room honestly it was well written and light hearted.

I've seen all of the other episodes so far and enjoyed them all tbh. I also watched last night's episode and enjoyed it but I thought it would have been better with most of the other usual characters involved.

As above as a one off i thought it was great with only two characters and an up to date new episode. Probably seemed better as so much either negative news or repeats on the main channels on TV.
