Hi all, Been thinking about doing a fundraiser for a while after losing my old man back in 2017 to pancreatic cancer and now im finally going ahead and doing something in the new year. Was a life long stokie and worked for the club for 15 years as a scout. He was still working for the club when he passed. Ill be running a total 50 miles thoughout january. If the limit is reached in good time ill be doing as many miles as I can up until the 31st. If any of you guys could chuck us a few quid to go towards the donations then it would be greatly appreciated. Please follow the link if youd like to donate. fundraise.pancreaticcancer.org.uk/fundraisers/adambarberThank you

Donated. Lost a good friend earlier this year to PC Only 57 rears old and fit as a fiddle. Brillaint thank you Steve. Sorry for your loss mate, My dad was the same, still working in the building trade and working for stoke as a scout at the weekends. We found out suddenly he had it and within two months he was gone. Probably one of the worst cancers out there to treat. Thanks again for the donation, top man👍

Sorry for your loss dave, its awful how many other people go through the same thing with PC. You'd think this day and age they would of been able to give people at least a bit more of a fighting chance with it. Thanks dave and thanks again for that donation mate, really appreicate it👍

Hello all, Overwelmed from all of the donations and support ive had from everyone and totally smashing my £300 goal so Ive done a bit of research on other peoples fundraising in the past and decided to scrap the orginal plan of doing a total of 50 miles in January. Instead, im going to make it more of a challenge for myself and run 5k/3.2 miles everyday for all of the 31 days in January. Taking the total for the month to 100 miles. Was thinking I undercut the challenge some what and wanted to make it more of a achievement to myself and thank all of you more so for donating how much you have Thank you to everyone who has donated it really means a lot. If anyone would like to donate please follow the link below: fundraise.pancreaticcancer.org.uk/fundraisers/adambarber5kadayWill be posting all my runs on my strava account below thoughout January whoever wants to follow www.strava.com/athletes/7160582 Thanks again! Ive not long been running, about 2/3 months now, 3 times a week. Im pretty decent at short ones like 5k but struggle on long distance, tend to go like the clappers and burn myself out! Will definitely be pacing myself thoughtout the month but im pretty set now that 100 miles is the target after seeing what other fundraisers people have done in the past. Sorry to hear that mate, was 2017 when my dad passed. Thanks mate really appreicate it!👍

My dad grew up in stoke, lonsdale street right down the road from the old vic. Moved us down to Rugeley with his work. He started taking me the games in 99 and then ended up working for stoke scouting for 15 years right up until he passed in 2017. Soon as we got relegated and wolves and villa took our place I sold up and got the hell out of there!😂 was a pleasure ripping into them at work though after we beat them both in the cup this season!

Adam👍 How’s it going mate? Going good mate! Was going to do a update today as ive just finished my 10th run. Been mixing it up with some steady, interval and fast runs. Averaging around 8:30 per mile pace at the moment. Feel a lot fitter than before i started anyway and the knees are holding up haha The struggle is during the week as I work nights but i didnt do too bad last week, just taken the mon-thurs runs steady. The snow hasnt helped either!😂 Done 32.5 miles upto yet. Will keep on updating on here as I go on👍
