Best forward player for us tonight, put some decent crosses in etc, hopefully he can keep it up but he needs help from the others, he can't be the only one getting forward trying to create things. 'The best forward player on for us tonight'? - you're right, one (lnce) was average, the other three (Brown, Powell and Macca) were, let's be honest, very very poor. I'll rephrase, Ince had a good game, put some good crossess in that someone should have been at least trying to get on the end of, he played well regardless of the others.

Deserving of a thread? Did well I thought, much better than most of us anticipated I reckon. Hope he turns it around. I have faith!!! We kind of need him! He's had plenty of time to "turn it around." The fact of the matter is he's had countless chances to put in a performance and he's failed us time and time again. The only thread he deserves is when we sell him. He's fucking useless.

Mmm You sure? I think he's given up Didn't look as though he'd given up tonight, instead it looked as though he was playing to keep his place. He's one of the best championship players along with Powell, for whatever reason it just hasn't clicked for him here. Sometimes players struggle to fit in at certain clubs and that's what's happened here. He desperately needs a couple of goals and / or assists and a good run in the team. We don't have many other options really do we, so we may as well throw everything at it. It did click for him when he first got here signed by Rowett, scoring a few goals. But then Rowett was sacked, Jones came in and tried to change Ince into something he wasn't, a 10 instead of a 7. From that point on it just kept going downhill and he lost all confidence. He's had a lot pf support from Jones and O'Neill but it just seems that he's lost his sense of purpose and will power and gained a major mental block in the process. He's done things - or rather not done things - that is just not acceptable for a pro, although, obviously not on a Berahino or Imbula scale.

If MON's really serious about direct promotion, he MUST sell or permanently quarantine Vokes, Ince and Gregory, and replace them with three new forwards, pronto.

Won't happen with Scholes in charge We need Saul Goodman ( breaking bad / better call Saul) in charge of contracts and anything legal Saul will sort it

Predictably, there are several pre-conceived opinions on this thread already which could have been written before the game on Tuesday night.
Ince was decent, easily the forward with the most potency on the evening and deserving of a run of games to prove his worth, something which he has not been given the opportunity for so far this year. Let’s hope he succeeds for the sake of our club rather than wishing he fails to prove we are right (in our own minds)

He's played well in his last two outings and we aren't in a position to just wash our hands of him unless someone comes in a takes him off our hands, he's getting another chance by default and I hope he takes it.

Good to see him have a go and an option this time when short of them. With McClean back a bit more up top, Verlinden has yet to do it at this level but now has a chance also. Would like to see him attack more players in the box and invite callenges as has the ability for me.

Someone might come in for him on loan - despite his failure in our colours, he comes with a box-office reputation at this level and hopefully someone will feel they can re-ignite that. They must be made to pay some of his wages though. This isn't just about putting players in the shop window, we need to release funds for incoming player wages if at all possible.

I'd heard good things in the media about him, and a mate of mine who supports Derby said he was decent when he played for them. It didn't take long to change my opinion on him. He's a complete fucking waste of time.

He's a complete fucking waste of time. Mate, you weren't the only one. I always rated him and was doing fist pumps when he signed - a proven, dynamic, goal scoring winger/forward who would also lay assists on a plate for Afobe. To say I'm left deflated by how he's turned out for us is an understatement. The same with Vokes, I was ecstatic about his arrival and the total disaster he has ended up almost defies the logic of bad luck. Why didn't we get Derby Ince and the (Championship) Burnley Vokes - what the fuck happened?? Who knows, but hopefully their reputations from yesteryear will still flag up some clubs looking for something different and we can get them off the wage bill on loan, if only till the summer.

On the Sentinel facebook video, Pete Smith say there's a "very interesting" whisper about about a possible Ince exit.
Presumably a loan somewhere if it happens?
