Is Gary Lineker on it? Or is that a stupid question? Yes along with Clare Balding,Gabby Logan and Alex( I’ll do anything) Scott I think Alex Scott has achieved more in the field of sport than either Clare Balding or Gaby Logan, but hey, Clare Balding went to Cambridge

How are the likes of Kevin Seinfield, Rob Burrow or even Marcus Rashford not contenders for the personality award. These are people who have a personality, who have an attitude that deserves recognition

Typical of the commies at the BBC. Giving an award to someone who doesn't want children to starve. Traitors.

True heroes and great role models. Being humble is a great quality and these 3 have it in bundles.

He got a special award for his work with the feeding the children. I know that's only because the BBC were scared people would vote for him to win the whole thing No it’s because Sports Personality of the Year is awarded for sporting achievement. He literally had an award invented just for him, which in my opinion is an even higher accolade and fully deserved of course. In fact he should probably get the award named after him from now on instead of the ridiculously titled “Expert Special Panel Award.

He got a special award for his work with the feeding the children. I know that's only because the BBC were scared people would vote for him to win the whole thing No, it's because the criteria for the shortlist has to involve sporting achievements, not just being a nice guy ("The award goes to the sportsperson whose sporting actions have most captured the UK public's imagination during 2020" - taken from the BBC's shortlist criteria)....and as fantastic a job that Rashford has done for the kids, there is absolutely no way on God's green earth he'd be up for any awards for sporting achievements. They've simply created an award to ensure he is recognised for what he's done OUTSIDE of the sporting arena. It isn't any kind of BBC conspiracy, it isn't belittling what he's done, it's simply the BBC not chopping and changing the rules months after the criteria had already been announced. I genuinely don't see any issue at all to be honest....Rashford can't be included in the shortlist due to the rules so they find another way to honour him instead. If you think that's a way to slag off the Beeb (and there are MANY other things you could slag them off for legitimately, so the need to invent some kind of conspiracy is unnecessary, as well as wrong), then i'd suggest it's more to do with your misunderstanding of the rules than anything else.

Massive congratulations to his mechanics and aero dynamicists. Lewis Hamilton is a big reason the Mercedes is so fast - he's helped develop it to where it is. It's a shame he gets so little credit from many. His contemporaries (Leclerc, Vettel, Alonso etc.) and many ex-F1 World Champions have all said Hamilton is one of the greatest (if not the greatest) drivers of all-time. It's a fact of F1 that a driver in the fastest car often wins the World Championship, though Hamilton has won it in a slower car - and recently too. I think it was 2018 (and maybe the year before too) when the Ferrari's were faster than the Mercedes'. Hamilton matched two-time World Champion Alonso in his debut season. He's an outstanding driver with an incredible attention to detail - he can even take into account the wind speed and direction corner by corner. He has an amazing feel for the cars he drives. I'd argue 2020 was his strongest year - he left no stone unturned. There were races he won he shouldn't have, and that's what a World Champion does.

How do you know that he takes the wind speed on each corner? S90% must be down to who has the fastest car
