Some guy named William Wallace just knocked on my door raising money for some charity. He looked pretty angry... What, blue in the face kind of angry? Definitely Scottish then

Food for thought, Perhaps? I’ve spent the last 3 years in all parts of Scotland, off and on with work. And I’m telling you now, it’s just a matter of time before they leave. COVID has made it even quicker. They have their own tv channels, news, sport, parliament, NHS, railways, media, money combined with a totally different culture. They are much more like a Sweden and Norway than we will ever be at the moment. I’m pretty much resigned to it and a united ireland I’m afraid. Certainly in my lifetime England needs to look forward again and come to terms with what’s held it back the past 40 years...the lies are deep and entrenched

Oh, and could all of the Scottish winos that can be found in any large English city pissed and fighting at 8 o clock in the morning be scooped up and sent back to Scotland?

There have been politicians who were motivated to do good like Jack Ashley, but most politicians are on an ego trip and they are in it to be centre of attention and want power and influence. The EU don't want to give up control of the UK. Westminster does not want to give up control of Scotland. A Scottish government would not want to give up control of Orkney and Shetland.
It's not in their nature.

Hypothetically speaking if I were Scottish I’d vote for independence Without doubt. The way the tories have treated working class folk in the uk Is a disgrace, Brexit is a gift to the SNP it’s only going to benefit their cause ,One of the reasons I voted remain was to keep the kingdom united,

But its called biting off your nose to spite your face. Scotland will do terribly from independence. There was an interesting conference of 5 or so independent non partial economists and not one of them concluded anything good economically for Scotland. Not one.

I've no idea how they'd fund the extra £2k per head they currently spend once the gravy train stopped running from Westminster.
At least we'd be rid of the professional whingers of the SNP. The only downside is that we'd have to change our flag.

They have a £15 billion a year budget deficit if they stand alone, dealing with that alone would make austerity look like brewsters millions.

Been that way for a while. It should be a matter of great concern for all the unionist parties. They need to up their game. Thankfully, in that regards, Labour have now ditched their deadbeat leader Leonard. The Tories did the same earlier. Labour have to step up to the plate - if only to counter the SNP’s attempt to frame the independence debate into a battle between Saint Nicola and Bumbling Boris and honourable SNP vs evil Toaries.

Folk getting reconciled with the idea is very important. And some folk are getting increasingly reconciled. Whether they are sufficiently so remains to be seen.

There's no need to change it.

It remains to be seen if the problems the SNP are currently experiencing will see their political fortunes fall - they’ve remarkably resilient so far.
But, if they do it could spell even worse trouble for the unionist parties if nationalist defectors move to another nationalist party meaning the Greens. With the PR system in Scotland this could lead to even more nationalist MSPs in Holyrood next time around.
The unionists parties need to do more than sit around hoping the SNP implode.
A lot could depend on who the next leader of the Labour part is in Scotland.

A lot could depend on who the next leader of the Labour part is in Scotland. So why has wee krankie dumped cherry then There’s a civil war raging in the SNP just now - there’s a few angles to it but it’s best thought of in terms of the battle between Sturgeon and Salmond. Cherry is in the Salmond camp. It’s one of a heap of challenges Sturgeon is currently facing from school performance down the toilet, a series of disastrous economic interventions, being the drug death capital of Europe, the omnishables hate crime bill, the trans war not forgetting the relative snail like roll out the vaccine in Scotland. And that’s before you get into the Salmond trial aftermath where Salmond has accused Sturgeon of lying to Parliament. And despite all of that, Sturgeon is still flying high in the polls.
