Have we been linked to anyone who can actually score the goals we need ( apart from the villa lad ) , even with the two new young lads I still think we will lack goals , Fletcher injury prone and Vokes a useless twat I know he's a cocky twat but I'd go for Jordan hugill, he's a proper bull and a nuisance. |

Are we looking to get a tallboy to replace Vokes? I've heard we're signing Billy Bookcase as his replacement isn't he from Sweden ? cheap ,not top quality and won't last long. ( real name is Billy Likjedhal ! ) |

I don't mind Mikel playing, but realistically he should be taken off around the 60 minute mark, he's still coming back from injury and he can look a real liability later in the game. Cousins should never have been dropped (unless he was carrying an injury - but it doesn't seem to be the case).
If we're playing 4-3-3 I'd go with Clucas/Allen, Cousins, and Powell as the 3 midfielders, if Mikel is playing it would be instead of Cousins. Tymon is still a reasonable option for the left side of a midfield trio. Maybe Cousins and Mikel could play together as the two in a 4-2-3-1, I get the impression MON wants the wingers out wide though in a 4-3-3.
Do you think he'd play Powell in the midfield, I get the feeling he'd be one of the front three, either way he'd be wasted and may as well be on the bench. I just think with the players we have a 4-3-3 looks awful any way you look at it. I keep going back to the Whelan N'Zonzi days as an example but I think Mikel and Cousins could be a similar partnership but obviously at a lower level but the problem is MON thinks Mikel is still/ever was a full on DM which is what we need. I don't see how Powell fits into a front 3, he'd be wasted on the wing and whilst he could probably play there he's not really a centre forward. I think Powell is at his best in the centre just behind the striker in a 4-2-3-1, I think he'd be fine in midfield in a 4-3-3 provided the other two were more defensive minded, I worry we're a bit weak in the middle of the pitch with a 4-3-3 though - it's asking a lot if we come up against a team that packs the midfield. |

I don't rate him, not sure he's much of an upgrade on Vokes. Ideally we need to find a younger version of Steven Fletcher, a clever player who can link the play rather than a bull, but still strong enough to hold his own up front. |

We should of signed him before he went QPR, it’s great that we have the two new wingers but we need someone who can play with there back to goal and hold the ball up, Clucas and Allen will chip in with a few as well then. I think Glenn Murray would be good short term as well, holds it up and wins loads of headers |

From his press conference we are clearly after other players, striker and right back might be the areas..nice that we have got our first choices so far, I wouldn't imagine we've been able to get our first choice striker yet, whoever that maybe. That’s funny, I thought it was pretty obvious that we aren’t after a striker - to me he said - no one is coming in for our fringe players. This window there aren’t many strikers about (that are worth bothering with) we can’t go spending millions on players so if anything does happen it would be a shrewd loanee |
