Please let them make a double swoop and take McLean as well Two more players from Stoke who will develop elsewhere and play in Champions League on tv then.

I'll be quite sad when Ince leaves. Not because he's leaving but because of all of the players Rowett signed, he should have been the stick on signing that gave us something back for our money. His record, bar a non descript loan at Forest, at this level is very good and he has a track record at every club he's played at. Premier League? no, a player you sell on after promotion.
If and when he goes he goes with more than a tinge of sadness from me that we never saw the best of him here.
I'll let others discuss the reasons why that was.

Whatever the reason was, you can't say he didn't have more than enough chances to put it right!!! He played on a regular basis under Rowett, He played on a regular basis under Jones, And up until this season, he played quite regularly under O'Neil, and it's fair to say..... Out of all those appearances, you could probably count on one hand the amount of good games he had!!!

A loan for verlinden at a decent level would be a good idea He needs games and isn't getting them here for whatever reason

This is the player who had scored once for the Mighty Terriers in the Prem league who some bright spark down at Stoke thought it was a good idea to spend £10 million on. Ince has been a disaster for our club and is one of the most spineless players I have had the misfortune to watch. The man is one legged .cannot head a ball, win a tackle, his shooting is wayward but most of all he is a coward and a cheats supporters.By the way I do not like him.

He’s had plenty of chances, hasn’t he? In plenty of different positions too. Ironically, that last match he started for us I thought he looked decent. Or maybe I was just clutching at straws... The biggest tragedy is the money he’s cost in fees & wages. What we’d give right now to be able to throw that money at a proven striker. It will probably be the difference between us getting in the promotion shake up or not. Let’s hope someone will give us something for him...

He'd do well at Celtic- playing against League One-standard opposition with a few good players around him would make him look far better than he actually is.

Can you imagine him doing one of his ‘run really fast to look like I’m going to put a challenge in, but get there just late enough that I can’t actually put a challenge in’ runs in the Glasgow derby? The fans would lynch him*
*if fans were present at the time

Ince strikes me as a player whose completely lost interest in the game and at only 28. He arguably peaked five years ago and has been in decline ever since. A move to Turkey at 28 would be a complete admission that he's given up. He'd be better swallowing his pride and dropping down to div 1 on a 1 year contract to rebuild his career. Obviously he won't as he's probably earning too much and has the outgoings which match that income so he won't consider it.

Salary caps in league 1 rule out that sort of move for players such as Tom ince. That sort of move is one to the MLS, India or Australia these days. Shite levels of football but relatively big money for players with reputations far bigger than their ability.

Bit of a rumour about Ince and Luton (interesting to see if he plays tonight. Presumably he will?)
If he does go, that's the Bomb Squad retired

That is why Wigan, Ipswich and others have been on a hiring spree

Having successfully offloaded* Vokes, Gregory, McClean et cetera, et cetera, it's getting increasingly harder to believe that we can't actually hoodwink some unsuspecting manager / club into snaffling up Mince. Of all of them, his CV needed the least polishing surely? Sure GR will be along in a minute. * Bribed via the Collins millions?

Of all of them, his CV needed the least polishing surely? Sure GR will be along in a minute. * Bribed via the Collins millions? Surprising there's been no chatter. You'd think a McClean-type deal, where we give him a substantial pay-off and he finds a home where he'll actually play is a must for him. He must know he's not going to play at all this season. He won't even get the emergency back-up RWB gig once someone comes in, and there's no other role for him in this system. Turning up to training as the sole remaining spare part will get pretty dispiriting as the season progresses, and it won't put him a good place as he heads into the Bosman market next summer Amazingly he's 30 in January. He needs to be playing. The Luton fans don't seem particularly pleased by this bit of a link, but he'll have to go somewhere. Mind you, they don't appear to be using a formation that would really fit him either
