Will our way back to the PL be stopped by incompetent refrees!? There's no way our general play deserves promotion, we're a mid table team until we are much better defensively and more consistent all over the pitch. Our general play didn’t “deserve” promotion in 2008 either and we went up automatically. This division is a piss-take, mediocre teams can go up automatically and rubbish teams can make the playoffs. We should be aiming for at least the latter.

The current defence is rubbish and any team in this division can make them look like mugs.

It had Leon Cort in it for a start (granted he chipped in at the other end). A bit better than what we've got right now, yes, but still relatively rubbish. I just think we really should be in the top quarter of this division given the standard. And the fact that we now have a pretty good squad and a very good manager.

Tonight’s fixtures Middlesbrough (winning) v Derby Millwall (winning)v Reading would both go above us. We would then be 9th

Christ just watched the goals again, to call most of that shower professional footballers is an insult

Starting formation did for us unfortunately. Well we were playing with 10 men with Tymon on, I never want to see him play for us ever again. Agree.

Not wanting to criticise Bursik too much but we would not have conceded 6 in the last 2 games with Davies in goal.To lose 2 senior keepers and expect everything to carry on as normal would have been wishful thinking.

I am sure he will be disappointed with goals 1 & 3 v Huddersfield and the second last night but he was consistently and badly exposed throughout both games. Pulis will have noted and if playing he will come under massive pressure on Saturday, his defensive team mates will need to step up to the plate to give him some proper support.

Now with two goalkeepers injured and playing a 20 year old we are back to blaming the defence. I am not blaming Bursik but having both our first team keepers out injured is the problem not the defence.

I agree having our first two choice keepers out us a factor but if you feel we don't have a problem in defence watch the goals conceded in the last two games.

Easy to point the finger at the defence (and goalie) after conceding six in two games, but surely Mikel and Clucas have to bear some of the flak. They don't really protect the back four, do they? To get the best out of Clucas he has to be further forward and the evidence of our results when he plays suggests JOM would benefit from playing alongside (the unloved) Thompson, whatever his critics say.

I know many on here are lukewarm about TP's achievements as manager here, but to suggest that his judgement of a centre-back was anything less than top drawer is just plain wrong. Leon Cort was a very good centre back. Eclipsed ultimately by Ryan, Abdoulae and Huthy, but that would be fourth place in a vary high quality field indeed.

TP signed Sonko and Paul Williams ffs Cort was soft as shite. Only three teams in the top half conceded more goals than us that season by the way.
