Collins ahead of Chester please MON. Chester comes in for this, without doubt.

If we get a draw against Norwich and then beat TP on his own patch, that would make for a very satisfactory week.

Bursik Collins Souttar Fox Smith Mikel Clucas Tymon Campbell Fletcher Powell A slight tweak for me - Batth has a clanger in him and Souttar looks at his best in the role in the middle, whilst Fox gives us balance on the left of the back three, and Tymon provides more drive out wide in the absence of Jimmy.

Not convinced Clucas is the right man to partner Mikel at CDM. I'd have Thommo in there, sitting, prodding, plugging gaps and push Clucas up to left attacking mid in a 4231, then Ty in his 'Huddersfield Away' position attacking the box on the right.

This is going to be a tough game make no mistake.
For me I’d go back to 3 at the back as Bursik needs protecting as he’s still very inexperienced.
I’d go with
Bursik
Batth Collins Soutter
Smith Mikel Clucas Brown (apparently he did well there for Barnsley)
Powell
Fletcher Campbell

Let’s let Norwich worry about us and not change everything to suit them They aren’t Leeds or West Brom they are just another team in this level league who’ve actually won many points in the 90th minute and not tearing teams apart They are on a par with us not far superior and if we are being honest I’d say they would take a point now We looked a lot better at the back when Collins came on. So 3 at the back has to be a consideration. Thought 3 at the back was the devil's formation, and 4-2-3-1 would see us sweep all opposition aside?

If we go 4-2-3-1 here and try and trade with them, we could get a hammering. However, if Campbell, Fletch and Powell are on the sort of form they were yesterday, perhaps they should be more worried about facing us than we should be about facing them!?
Personally, I think we have to protect Bursik more than we did against Huddersfield, but the problem is how we line-up at the back.
Collins- Souttar-Batth looks the obvious choice, but I can't help but think that Batth is going to look even more clumsy and awkward than normal on the left hand side, and I'm not sure Souttar would be flattered by playing there either. Fox has looked ropey as a centre-back, even though he is left footed.
Without McClean available, we then have another problem position at LWB. Fox is dreadful going forward, so that leaves Tymon or Clucas as the alternatives. If Clucas doesn't play in the middle though, we're left with Cousins or Oakley-Booth having to step in, which is less than ideal.
..................Bursik...................
...Collins.....Souttar.....Batth.......
Smith....Mikel.....Clucas.....Tymon

Im not sure about Norwich’s xg, but they have only scored just over an average of 1 goal per game.
The decision about formation is a difficult one to be made and you feel whichever way he goes it might end up being the wrong choice.

Ideally we could do with being able to switch between them effectively without making any subs. In that case, we might need to go with Fox instead of Batth in the team I've posted above.

Unfortunately I think the fact we have an inexperienced keeper who has just had a pretty tough debut could play into their hands.
I can’t see us keeping a clean sheet which means we have to out score them. Considering the attacking quality they have it will be very tough.
I’d take a high scoring draw right now.

Where's this support for Tymon at CDM come from? Peak Tymon to date has been more or less left wing in the last 20 mins vs Forest a few months back. Have folk seen something l haven't?

Thought 3 at the back was the devil's formation, and 4-2-3-1 would see us sweep all opposition aside? It generally is but we’re not playing the style needed for 4231. If we could keep the ball a bit and try playing some football then yeah crack on. But inviting pressure and what not, it’s not the best formation for that and doesn’t overly work for it.

Tymon a better option than Fox or Brown on the left Poor Morgan Fox. Either he is incredibly deficient as a player or perhaps he just gets a bad press. I haven't seen him play much, but to get a "Fox has looked ropey as a centre back" and "Fox is dreadful going forward" in the same post is quite an achievement and merely suggests an anti-Fox agenda. So a very limited footballer or just under-rated? Maybe we should be giving him some support and encouragement to build his self confidence, and he might actually emerge to be a key player.

Their back 5 (including keeper) looks very strong.
Aarons is a top player.
They don’t concede too much.
We’ll have to keep up our record of being clinical in front of goal to stand a chance.
First goal will be crucial.

Sorry but we need a more experienced keeper to tide us over. Bursik may become a very good keeper but he’s not ready yet and teams will play on that.

A draw would suit us just fine but I'd be worried if MoN set us up to play for one from the off.
And yes, as said elsewhere, any more of that level of defending and we won't be troubling the points total.
