I'd have tried to sign Grant in the last window tbh! Another poor transfer decision by our mercurial "transfer team" I assume Grant’s immune from Covid19 is he?

If Gunn has Covid is it worth recalling Bursik for 2/3 games and he misses out 10/11 whatever at Donny? It's a tough call. From bits I've seen. I think donny fans would be happy if Bursik returned

If Gunn has got Covid and McLean already down with it are we in danger of having a squad decimated by it?

Must have been picked up at today's presser by Nixon. Probably told to let Stoke announce any story.

Isn't Gleghorn now back with us? He was a fine stand in keeper. What a ridiculous post... ...Cranson was a much better keeper

What about seeing if that Jack Butland is available for loan, he used to be good didn't he? It would cost a fortune developing and building a time machine though to take him back to then

Just as a point of interest trivia, tomorrow is the 46th anniversary of the day we signed Peter Shilton.

I thought you couldn't recall loans between windows? Swear I read something about if we’ve got a certain number of first team keepers injured we could recall between windows. I could be talking utter bollocks mind. I believe there is a exception for keepers.

Shilton wanted to control and organise his defence and it took a while for everyone to get used to this. And then there was the occasion when he rushed out to clear the ball and missed his kick, allowing the opposition (can’t remember who) to score. So he made a dodgy start but was fine after that.

Wedge Wimmer between the posts and get one of the full backs to take goal kicks.

At least Butlands recently had and recovered from CV19 so he'd still have antibodies knocking around!
Orjan Nyland Ex Villa keeper be my choice as a short term arrangement.

No point recalling Bursik if it’s just one or two games as his progression would be impeded given the idea of his loan was to get games and experience

The keeper that dropped the ball in the back on the net shortly after last seasons restart but the goal line technology failed? He’s fucking shit

Newcastle United Alan Gowling the scorer......Lost 2-1 at home. OMG it's both amazing & sad the stuff we remember!

Worse than Covid then really. We'll get Bursik back now I guess. Fingers crossed he's up to it

Good effort 👏🏻👏🏻.. What keepers dont make mistakes?! I've seen him quite a few times as take my nephew to Villa games when my bro can't make it & Stoke aren't playing so have seen him at close quarters from right behind the goal on the Holte End on a number of occasions. Im not saying he's a world beater or should be brought in as our full time keeper, as a stop gap, he'd definitely do the job!

Under EFL rules, a team can sign a goalkeeper on an emergency loan provided all the professional goalkeepers currently in their squad are unavailable because they are either injured, suspended or away on international duty.

What's the definition of a professional goalie here? We have 2 or 3 that are fit if it means being on a professional contract. Guessing there's a caveat though?

Meaning of 'professional'? Blondy has made the bench, does that class him as such?

He’s shite and shits himself whenever a shot goes near him Why do you think villa have signed several goal keepers whilst he’s been there including a keeper who should’ve been pensioned off years ago? A quick google would show up countless mistakes in a villa shirt
