Yes there is. Campbell should stay on the right. I was just on about switching Campbell over which seems pointless. Jesus wept. I think people are overplaying the injuries too tbh. There's not that many bar in the goalkeeping area. Cousins and Mikel is indeed an improvement of the midfield of recent weeks. Who do you reckon he'll go with between Blondy and Bursik, Bayern? You'd think Bursik - but just wonder whether they may go with Blondy who they know better and have worked with? Got to be Bursik? Blondy has never played a senior game has he? And looks like a deer in the headlights in the u23s. I'd love to know where they hype for him comes from because it can't be those games. Bursik has played in League One 2 seasons in a row and done alright but with some clear work needed.

We'll do well to name 20 players in the squad tomorrow.... Welcome back. We were all worried about you. Turns out all that was up with you was sausage fingered ineptitude was it?

But have been struck with how glowing MON has been on a couple of occasions about Blondy (although I've noticed you saying a couple of times you don't see it as yet) But 20-odd senior games have got to count for something despite him being parachuted in today and our management team not really knowing him that well.

James Chester is back up to speed so I think we should applaud the medical team for making him 3 years younger during this international break.

He hasn’t got a choice but to “fuck around” has he? Due to illness and a catalogue of injuries he’s going to have to make at least three changes before he even considers anything tactical. Thompson is marginally better than Cousins but they are both average at best. Campbell is comfortable on either side whereas Brown is a right sided player, it makes sense to play Campbell on the left tomorrow if Brown plays.

I disagree, it's messing with something good that doesn't need messing with. Indeed if it was me, Brown wouldn't play but I don't think MON will do that.

I’m not sure who will play on the left to be honest. Verlinden is perhaps the most obvious choice (or Tymon). You could move Powell over there, which would likely be the most disruptive of all. You could put Ince in there, but that’s probably not going to lead to anything. You could play Brown in there and have Campbell and Brown alternate throughout to frustrate defenders. Clucas being fit is a blessing, though I imagine after a long lay off (has it been that long, with fixture congestion it feels like an age!) he will need match fitness coming from the bench. Im quite nervous for tomorrow in truth.

4-2-3-1 please at home then we should be fine.
I fancy a comfortable 2 nil victory tomorrow.
Campbell & Fletcher to score

From what I've seen of the Championship, there's very little for us to be wary of - other than our own complacency and occasional negative tactics.
Looking forward to 3 points tomorrow. GOOOaaarrrnnn Stoke. 3-1

Bursik has trained for a few years with those who are 22 and under, and he's trained sometimes with the first team also. He's got league match practice and played internationally a few days ago. So I'd say he was well prepared, but obviously it's a few steps up from playing Div2 sides.

I don’t see any reason why we wouldn’t start with that again tomorrow?

He's a professional goalkeeper. It's his job to deal with whatever comes at him. OK he's young and may make mistakes, but he'll learn because no-one else is going to do his job for him.

Bursik Smith Souttar Batth Fox Cousins/Clucas (if fit) Mikel Campbell Powell Ince Fletcher Brown for Ince I get the argument tbh but Ince is easily the better player and Brown could be useful off the bench when we need some running.

They'll target Bursik with high balls, to put pressure on him. I was thinking along the same lines.... Young keeper, first senior game, they'll try to have a go at any opportunity!!! He's just got to stay alert and on his toes!!! It's in his hands now, quite literally!!!

Should be space for pretty everyone on the bench then going back to the 5 of 9 subs?
Bursik
Smith Batth Souttar Fox Clucas Mikel Brown Powell Campbell Fletcher
And all but one of the remaining fit first team squad members:
Blondy Tymon Collins Chester Cousins Verlinden TOB Vokes Gregory Ince
It'll be interesting to see which one he thinks he can leave off the bench.
Maybe it'll be Verlinden, Ince or Gregory who's considered expendable.

I can see MON playing 5 at the back to try and give some protection to Bursik on his debut.

Powell
Campbell Fletcher
