A shot in the dark but was hoping if any fellow Oatcakers could assist or recommend someone to me.
My wall mounted fire is in need of a repair and I can not find anyone to do it.
Dimplex, the manufactures are not interested and only doing warranty work.
Would appreciate any recomendations

When turned on after about 30secs lights flash and a loud clicking noise. Have fitted a new transducer and still have the fault. Dimplex suggested it may need a new PCB, but are not doing repairs to out of warranty appliances.

Yes thanks. I have viewed several videos. Driving me nuts. Had it apart several times. It needs somebody who knows what they are doing. I haven’t got a clue.

You evidently have a clue or you wouldn't have had the nous to take it apart I know how you feel tho, been trying to fix a telly, never fixed one before, won't be long before I give up.

All Sorted 😀
The power of Facebook. Put a post on my local village group page and had several replies inc one from somebody I did not know who buys and sells goods on E Bay. He sent his electrician round who diagnosed and repaired it in 20 mins.
Now very happy and hope to watch a Stoke win sitting by the fire tomorrow. 😀🥃⚓️

They're not the most reliable of fires. I've replaced a fan and 3 mister units so far. As a matter of interest, what was the problem, what other faults have I got to look forward to? 🙂

As a matter of interest, what was the problem, what other faults have I got to look forward to? 🙂 I love the fire and the effect is spectacular. Dimplex remotely suggested that it needed a new PCB. When the guy came round he quickly recognised that the voltage coming into the unit was fluctuating between 19 and 21V which was causing the problem. Sorry don’t know the tech name of the part. It was not the PCB. However he had a spare one from a fire that they had taken apart and easily replaced it. Total cost £55. I am delighted. If you ever have a prob feel free to message me and I will let you have details. 😀⚓️

OK the oatcake didn’t solve the actual issue but I’m sure the advice was enough to point you in the right direction😀
